My Stubbornness | |
Shadow Leader - ex-Student |
Some of you still assume I'm trying to be annoying. When in reality I'm trying to forgive and make up for my mistakes by showing that forgiveness. The true reason behind my stubbornness is this: I was born 3 months premature, weighing only 2lbs. 6 oz. When I was born a blood vessel burst in my brain causing my cerebral palsy. None you (and I mean this truthly not angerly) can fully understand it is to use your arms as your legs from birth for twenty years.
My best friends know what its like for me, but these are people I've known personally for years. Lastly the problem with any online community it is very impersonal. This not a hate rant, its a I had a hard life and am sick of people that I don't even know are judging me when I am trying to ask for forgiveness for my past mistakes rant. _______________ LJA This post was edited by Shadow Leader on Apr 27 2008 02:39am. |

My fingers are slow on key strokes, but a console console controoller I can work just fine, even better than fine on some games like the halo series. The Xbox 360 controller has a USB mount that will hook into a USB port, I tryied it, but I need a adapter for it to be reconized by my computer, thereby allowing me play and mod computer games. _______________ LJA |

Not exactly sure what that means. JKA isn't a high-end graphics intensive game. If your computer is somewhat decent, you'll be able to run it. I feel that the PC-version would be much better for you than the X-Box version, since you can actually participate in TJA-activities off the forums. _______________ "Do or do not, there is no try" Jedi Master Yoda Dual Saberist |

JJ makes a very valid point in that, actions often speak louder than words, even if it takes more time to get your message across. Instead of telling people you are sorry and that you have changed, demonstrate it by simply not continuing to appologise, and becoming an active student of the JA. If you do, you will soon make friends as your train

well internet friends are as difficult to find as the real ones (in a way). im not really sure how many active members there are in TJA, but lets say there are 500 active members. out of those 500 there are like ~5 people i can chat normally when im bored.
so as you can see... 5 out of 500 isnt much. like other people said - you cant expect everyone to like you the way you want them to. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. people are going to judge you no matter how little they know you. it is just something that people do naturally and it is also something that you cannot control.
for a number of reasons, some people just don't really like you. if the fault is yours, all you could do is apologize to them and move on. whether or not they accept the apology is up to them. you have done your share and need/should not do more. you don't really need internet friends. |

Gil is right man you try too much and if it dont work u go all crazy, i dont even imagine how much you've been through but please dont expect anyone to treat you differently, most people wouldnt want to be treated differently. We all have crap parts of our lives, me seeing my brother get killed at aged 6 wasnt ideal. The point being stop trying so hard and comment on the theme of the site so to speak, or throw down in the movies tread about some cool movies u seen or crap ones.

Shadow Leader. I am going to take the time to write a rather lengthy post giving you some honest advice. This may get me in trouble as I have previously made a rather snide remark towards you and been warned for it, and this may be read in the wrong context due to that.
My advice is that I fear the thejediacademy.net is not the right place for you to invest so many of your feelings into making friends. You are clearly upset when your honest attempts at befriending people here turn out for the worse. Internet communities usually only center around one common interest of the members (in the case of this site JK2 and JK3). This means that apart from this one common characteristic you are going to find many different kinds of people. Some of these people will be smart and some will be dumb. Some will be black and some will be white. Some will be sympathetic and understanding and some will be assholes. By joining and posting on such sites you open yourself up to contact from all of these people. Some of this contact will be negative. I make no claim to know you personally, but from what I have seen of you on these forums you clearly want to make friends and be popular. This is fine, so do most people if they are honest. However, you appear to want this so much that when you experience the aforementioned negative contact from people or are knocked back in your attempts to make friends, you take it really rather to heart. I am sure in many ways you are a very tough person, I can imagine twenty years with cerebral palsy mean you have had to be. However you are clearly also very sensitive. This not a bad thing and is not a weakness, and I am by no means telling you to change it. What I am saying however is that the vast majority of internet communities(this one included), are not good places for a person such as yourself to put so much emotion into, as they will only lead to you being hurt and disappointed. I dont really want to see that, and I am pretty sure nobody else really does. What all this bollocks is getting at is that I really think you need to invest a lot lot less of your time and feelings into this place, as you will just be let down. _______________ |JAA| since 02/05/06 Green for life |
