We should MAKE THEM CARE if they made a JK4 with the same physics engine and DMM thats being used in the force unleashesed. It would be awesome. But only really good systems would be able to run it. PC games are amazing but for such a good community such as ours we expect Raven's next JK game to be amazing (at least I do) and if its too hard on the computer most of us would not be able to play it. If they couldnt use the stuff they are going to use in the force unleased then at least use the cryengine that would be good too. |

well, there have been allot of mods for HL2, i personally haven't tried to mod HL2 but i agree that some games can be allot more restrictive and in terms of modability, JA would be one of the easier ones. _______________ Peace is a lie, there is only passion.  thats why you don't see many mods for games on the playstation, but there are a few for the psp, i got a killer one for GTA that you load as a saved game hmmm well games modding capabilites adds to the popularity of the game. really not every game is equally modable. for example while dark messiah of might and magic used the same engine as half life 2... we are not seeing any star wars lightsaber mods. the reasons for that are obvious

They did that with shadowrun with the xbox three sixty and windows vista. The game sucked but it had nothing to do with the PC and the console playing together. I think if they could do it with shadowrun they could probably do it with another game. |

allot of games are like that, one who truly knows modding and scripting can make any game into what they wish, as long as you can get access to the games base folder you can mod the game thats why you don't see many mods for games on the playstation, but there are a few for the psp, i got a killer one for GTA that you load as a saved game _______________ Peace is a lie, there is only passion. what i think is amazing is that jk3 is so malleable (if you don't know what that means go get a dictionary right now and look it up, RIGHT NOW! this post will still be here when you get back. for those of you who looked it up CONGRATZ! for those of you who already know it GREAT JOB! for those of you who just sat there I'll tell you *cough*(lazy)*cough* malleable: capable of being shaped or formed). I mean i seriously doubt that the producers were thinking "hey lets make a game with a easy system for adding tons of models, extra weapons, mods, and enchanced versions (knights of the force mod)" when they made it. _______________ none |

if they remake jedi academy/ JK4 using modern day consoles like ps3 and add stuff like DMM into it, that would be the only time they would consider linking consoles to computers.

I highly doubt that Raven would go back to modify or alter JK3, on either platform. The XBox is unfortunately a dying/dead(?) console, and making a multi-platform version of the game would not be financially beneficial to Raven. Who knows, maybe one day they'll consider a "Classics" look-back at the games series but its unlikely they will ever tinker with the old haxbox nowadays.
