 if that is a fail, why barbarian being the only 'surviving' class is not a fail? no sorceress? oh shiet! witch doctor is not a crappy name. it fits the character and its abilities pretty well. if you dont like the character itself - then thats another thing, but not the name problem which you for some reason point out. personally i like what they did with the classes we know so far. they take some things of the old classes and put into different classes in a more interesting way. like lets say barbarian now has paladins charge. hows that a bad thing? it fits the current barbarian much more. why witch doctor is so hated? lets see... barbarian is wreacking things back and forth resulting in a fast action gameplay, something that you would expect when playing barbarian. wizard - has loads of literal tricks up her sleeve, which can be manipulated in all kinds of ways. WD has abilities that can be used in lots of ways and every part of that character is something that you would expect from WD. whats the problem tho? its not fast character. its far way from the center of combat. this can be compared to many other games - there will be 10 times more damage dealing characters than support/healers. so the problem lies not in the class itself, but in concept. what saved necromancer from the same fate? people love dead things. skeletons = badass. replace skeletons with butterflies, give him a pink outfit, change his grumpy face into wide smile etc, while leaving the funcionality as it is. the resulted character would be 10 times less popular than necromancer. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. joca_bt, ask yourself this: if the visuals would not resemble WoW, but were still the same as they are right now, would you still dislike them? If the answer is yes, then i don't see why it is necessary to mention WoW at all, since your distaste of the visuals is independent of any resemblance they might have to WoW. I don't really see a problem with the D3 interface. Looks more like D2 (minus graphics) than WoW. I guess if you look for similarities between the two you would find it since they are in similar genres, but that really doesn't say anything. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |
