maybe its different for people then. ;)

I find no difference at all - as long as the battery status is green. :)

Wireless = not gaming mouse...

I had a G5 and replaced with the Razer Deathadder

Most comfortable and accurate mouse I've ever used and I'm a hardcore COD4 junkie. Plus the pricetag isn't that bad.

I tried their new lachesis...amazing accuracy, but didnt fit my hand well.

Wireless mice are pretty good these days. I had the same attitude until I bought a good wireless mouse. :)

Really? I felt the G5 was exactly the same to the G7 other than the fact instead of weights, the G7 has a place for batteries. Although, I believe the G7 is basically a wireless G5.

Of course, reliability of a wireless mouse isn't comparable to a corded mouse. Then again, if you wanted to consider corded, Razer is my personal favorite. My copperhead has proved quite useful with it's quick DPI switcher and sturdy design.

G7 is to flat, doesn't sit in the hand very well, G5 is the way to go, best mouse I've ever had.

I use a Logitech G5 with a Mouse Bungee to keep wires off my mousepad. Wireless mice have really come a long way, but you can't beat the "it works or it doesn't" philosophy behind wired peripherals. That mouse bungee is awesome too Don't know how I survived without it. :D

That is a very good question. MX Revolution

I chose it particularly because it had those buttons on the side of the mouse for web browsing (and force powers) and that it has a recharge stand so I wouldn't stop moving halfway though a duel.

However, I'm used to changing stances by pressing the scroll button on top. I Can't do that any more with MX Revolution. The side browsing buttons I can't get to be recognised in game, nor the second scroll button by the thumb.

Now I have a mouse and keyboard set MX3200 - its got all the buttons although lacking the second scroll button :P and works fine for me, although it does run on batteries

I have the MX620. I actually chose it delibrately over the Revolution. :P Each to his/her own I guess.

Top reason:

It doesnt use a special battery. It uses a normal pair of AA batteries which last for about a year.

My scroll wheel is recognised by JA. ^^

(also, the body shape is identical to my old MX440 which I have been using for years. :D )

Ah yeah, understandable. Cables can be really annoying when they obstruct movement - i really don't like that at all.

When I first had a wireless mouse a few years ago, it needed new batteries every couple of weeks or so. I don't think that is the case any more - I think they last much longer on batteries.

Of course on most models now you can see when the battery is going low. But I always found there was a fine line between a lowish battery that would still respond to subtle movements required for duelling and a low battery that wouldnt.

The advantage of a mouse with a recharging stand is that it never gets to that point as you can always top up the 'battery'.

It might be easier not to go wireless at all, but I find the cords annoying after having been without them for so long.

The G7 would be perfect if it only had one more side button for web browsing. I guess that only applies to people who use the side buttons to go back and forward though.

Razer makes my favorite mice, but I'm pretty sure they don't make wireless. Runner up would be logitech which I makes great wireless ones.

There's a list of some you could browse.

The MX and G7 are pretty good, but they are pricey.
