ehehe, i must have confused you with someone else then. But thirst isn't much better, my 73 alt has been.. killed many times by scums pairing up with thirst members. Ehehe, i'll spill your blood anyways! Just need to get to 80 first -_-.

as far as i hear load times are very long and they happen very often thus making crappy graphics engine pointless?
but yeah gameplay is more important.

then again my opinion is based on things i read. what i read is that for example a healer class (which obviously has some damaging nuke spells i think) deals as much damage as archer class. since healer class can heal himself - archer has no chance to win. i guess thats low level pvp, but still things like these dont sound too good.
also since you are mentioning WoW a lot ill just say that if it were balanced you could have some effective role in pvp playing as any talent tree.

what else? well when you are just running around like a robot game becomes a grind which destroys the 'rpg' part of the game. questhelper really adds to that robot part of the game.

I said resto shaman are OP in PvE. The opposite is true of pvp.

resto druid / stormherald warrior/ hunter is a pretty hard combo to beat tho lol so i'll give you the druid one, but shaman ? nah, they go down like a sack of shit from any decent dps

I will make my commentary on your points, as I agree and disagree with some. Grammar/typing might suck a bit, but mine always does... Sorry for some comparisons to WoW also, but it is probably the best thing to compare it to since so many people are familiar with it.

1. outdated graphics
-I do agree the graphics aren't the best. The reason I think they did this was so people wouldn't have problems with large scale pvp. I do think there should be atleast the option to turn it up though. I can live with it though. Gameplay makes the game for me.

2. crappy animations
-Yeah, I do agree they could be better. They have made a bit of improvement to them, but they still need alot work done on them.

3. ridiculous ammount of hp lost when falling from realistically small heights
- I do agree they need some tweaking. More than WoW, yes. But WoW's falling damage is ridiculously low for some heights...like living after falling off the Lumbermine in AB? wtf. I wouldn't be surprised to see them tweaked with a bit in the future.

4. no pvp balance
-You are kidding right? The game is balanced around pvp and not pve. The exact opposite of most games...especially WoW where certain classes and combos are horribly overpowered(druids in pvp and resto shammy in pve come to mind). I have not encountered much imbalance, but I haven't played the higher tiers in the game, so I could be wrong. Also making this point in a AoC thread?

5. buggy range detection
-Do you know how many times I am in range on my screen in WoW, and I get out of range flashing when I go to hit an ability? I can also cast if someone runs out of my spells range by a good bit... There are problems in WH too. The main thing I have seen is people warping. Not sure if it is due too lag or the engine. I do agree it is a problem, but it isn't the only game with range problems.

6. generic quests, meaning that you dont have to read anything that is written in the questlog. 'questhelper' is also integrated.
-Lol, you are making this point in a AoC thread? I like the questhelping feature. I don't have to look up quests where I don't know where to go. Reading the quest log in games doesn't always offer much assistance and can take way too long mindlessly wandering to find where to go. Public quests are one of the coolest features I have seen as of recently in an MMO. I wouldn't be surprised if they appeared in other games.

Meh, it won't kill WoW definitely. I don't think any game could kill WoW. WAR is a pvp focused game, while WoW is a pve focused game. They are two sides of the same coin. WAR will probably take some customers away, but I definitely don't want it to kill WoW. WoW can keep its horrible community to itself.

WoW has had a fear years of polish too, but it still isn't perfect. It is a good game, and you can't deny it. It has its flaws though. I don't think WAR is perfect either. I think the devs need to work on graphics/animations and more pve content. Will I quit WoW over it? Probably not. I will probably close my other account and get WAR. I have too many friends in WoW to quit, but only the future can tell what will happen.

WAR's open beta process is quite horrible. whats the problem? when you get the key, register etc you must wait for confirmation letter. well beta started a day or two ago and no one got that confirmation letter. im saying no one because i know atleast 10 people who didnt get it. that cant be a coincidence. i could compare that to those companies that create 10 free mmos that look exactly the same.

Nah, the game isn't awesome, only the player community (atleast on aquilonia pvp-rp) :p.
one of my alts is 62 right now, and i have to admit, havn't had many memorable moments beside alot of good rp. if atleast..they could fix the fps drop at sieges..

.

but ooh well, i might jump over to WAR, DAoC was one of my favourites.. but yea.. stil having doubts on war..and going to give AoC one last change to set things straight.. they better don't screw it up with their patch on the 10th.
