This game is going to be amazingly cool. I dont know how many people here own a xbox 360 or a PS3 but if you do we will be graced by what is going to be an amazing star wars game. I hope people will talk about it here. I played the demo as well for the xbox 360 and it was awesome. It doesnt get a lot more satisfying than picking up a storm trooper hurling your lightsaber into him then throwing the whole stormie kebab far away with a force push. Ten seconds later the saber comes hurtling back spinning around really fast. |

Well the Wii version's graphic is inferior. I think the original X-Wing's cutscenes are comparable in terms of quality.

i personally LOVED the game, the physics were amazing, as expected, another great part was the story, incredible endings, it was thick well planned, in a word incredelous (look it up, its a real word). some complaints were about the fact that you re-visited raxus prime and felucia, but i found it to be a great use of the main idea of the game, redemption, changing what you did on those worlds.
the cinematics were so amazingly done it almost looked live, what with the detail the voice acting best in-game-cinematics ever. all in all a 99/10    _______________ "I am Neither Light nor Dark but rather gray, i have embraced both paths of life, and it has made me stronger..." |

Well great how the story makes it all together but the combat somehow turns into a repetetive patern and after a while the problem really is "In what evil way can i dispose of these characters".... Its definitely got some flaws, but i'm actually really impressed. Its surprised me. The biggest flaw is that the story ended up being so condensed that the game is quite short, though i'm sure if it were much longer they would have needed to add greater variety to the combat.
The thing that impressed me most (aside from the cinematics, actors, and story in general) was the games endings. Both of them. I got the dark side ending first, and its actually chilling. More so than Episode III in my opinion. Today I saw the light side ending, and again wasn't disappointed; its tragic and not too drawn out. It also does what it set out to do and (at least for me) makes you see the original trilogy in a new light. Vader is also brilliant in the game. Got my copy today and i'm enjoying it thusfar. Combat straddles the line between button bashing and intuitive, but is consisitantly fun. Playing as Darth Vader was fun.

There is sort of already a thread on this in the Star Wars forum found here. Though that thread also covers the various adaptations of the game and the other projects surrounding the era (e.g live action series).
I'm getting it, unless it gets terrible reviews, though I can't let myself believe that will happen. Lucasarts, despite some stinkers, have a reputation to uphold; and if this game is terrible then that reputation will be severly dented. This is primarily due to the amount of time and effort spent making this game (in comparison to say... The Episode III game) and also the hype placed upon it. However I played the demo, and while the gameplay isn't groundbreaking, its solid and fun to play. I enjoyed it and i'm hoping for a quality story and such to make it something more than a slash em up. Oh and just because a game is on a console dosn't mean its automagically awfull.
