Im unsure whether this as a thread already. In the same vein of the Movies thread, only musical. Not quite like the 'what are you listening to now' thread.
If you have heard any music recently, or have bought/downloaded an album you'd recommend post it here. I'll start Jurassic 5 - Feedback (2006 Release) Bought it the other day. Really good, especially if you like break beats. _______________ <MaherSenatu> guh... you are just... Wow RATM sounds good!
They are! Were i guess technically, they arent producing any more music at the minute. But yeah, RATM are pretty awesome, stupidly political aswell. arent they still playing with different vocalist by different name ? or is it vocalist playing with other guys lol? They still do live shoiws with the same lineup (I think) but their vocalist is also in a 2 man band called 'One day as a lion' with the Mars Volta (or something) drummer. _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

My recomendations and reasons
PS: Im posting my Hardrock/Metal favoured list. Maybe later ill post my favoured list of Pop, Techno, Electric, Drum & Bass, Rock, Hippie, Harmony, LIVE (yes, i listen to all those genres) Evanescence, Linkin Park, Godsmack, Disturbed, Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Tool, Staind, Korn - Scars Of Life Yes, this is one song made by all those groups together. Its a satanistic/hard rock/metal kind of song i dunno, kinda like it Fuel - Quarter A very individual songs, kind of dark in a way, The song owns at the end when the other guitar does his own solo. This is a Hardrock song Hotwire - Invisible This song owns! I recomend this for poeple who are up for some shouting and that feel the urge to pwn stuff. Hardcore rock Pain - Shut your mouth I dont know whats up with this song, but it has the "universal vibe". I mean, everybody ive sent this liked it. Very good song. Metal/Hardrock Pillar - Frontline I could say about this one that its Pillar at its best. A very patriotic song, well developed etc. Rock Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor This song rocks! Dunno, but it might be one of those songs that everybody knows. Metal _______________ Facta non verba. Omnia mutantur nos et mutamur in illis. Timendi causa est nescire... progressive isnt progressive anymore. just like indie isnt really indie now or alternative really alternative That might sound like a wise comment... but to me It doesn't make sense EDIT: Next time I just ignore you two... Because you ignore to see <3 patronise more please. considering you didnt put much of an argument forth. SAZ PLAY DRUMS AND GEETAR NAWZ And yeah, inflames seem toget alot of peoples attention who usually arent into the heavier side of metal, and anders has such a unique voice. I prefered their first few albums, because topic wise they sang about astrology etc xD really wierd hearing subjects like that in metal. And i loved RATM because of the fact they DID use rapping vocals, mainly due to subject matter. Because they're so over the top political, i can't imagine someone scremaing, or melodically singing along too it. Personal preference, Tom Morello ( anyone know the correct spelling?) is an insanely good guitarist. Theres a few bands i dislike over genre's, i reall y dont like MCR.. or Bring me the horizon. Also, check out black label society. Great southern metal. _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

hah i like their songs, how they make covers, but i just cant get over that rap vocals. i always hated rap of any kind so its kinda difficult to like 100% of RATM. the instrumental side is awesome. Quote: Inflames aren't to everyones tastes

Actually saz be right.
Saying that you can';t compare metal bands is ignorant. Metal is metal, too many sub genre's. as Alexi Laiho from bodom said ''We just play metal, every fucking band tries to make their own genre.. is metal.'' Dream theater aren't bad, not by any means.. but they aren't exactly how their fans hype them up to be. Also, im not a fan of dream theaters vocalist at all.. They're in the same category as say, Slipknot, or RHCP. Great bands but not as amazingly awesome as their fans put out to be.. in my opinion. They were alot more 'progressive' in the past. I like a quote i found while looking into DT actually: Quote: I hate them, but i can see why people like them. Talented band
Also, i've read that they have been ripping alot of Megadeth and Metallica riffs off in their ;last few albums, more so than they should be. Not really looked into it too much though so. Also, some more links for ya'll. Killing in the name of, by Rage against the machine <3 RATM. The Quite place by inflames Inflames aren't to everyones tastes, this is one of their middle ground heavyness ones. Some melodic, some screaming. Come clarity by inflames a bit lighter, they do a more melodic song every now and then. Needled 24/7 by Children of bodom In all honesty, Laiho's singing voice isnt exactly amongst the best metal wise. But he's also the lead guitarist, IMO they're good instrumentally, if a bit heavy for peoples tastes. Domination by Pantera mostly linking this because i love the fact they're playing to 1 million+ live, and the solo is epic. Just so everyone knows.. im not just into metal, i love most music.. its just nobody else is posting any metal here.. so xD Quote: meh... stop saying that i dont understand something when after that sentence you disagree with yourself.

while comparing bands from different genres is based on opinion, so is your claim that dream theater is the most technical band in the world. and so is your saying that its best progressive metal band Quote: How you can over-rate those guys... lol you just did
Quote: These bands, musicians are wrestling at different category
since they are of the same genres why not? if you say you cant compare them, you pretty much agree that they are far superior to that dream circus of yours. technical band... hmmm id say most technical band is pretty much most of the musician lineups frank zappa chose in his career. not only lineups were like mini-orchestra for zappa, but the music itself the guys had to play sounded a bit random i guess, except when it gets really weird - you realise that all those 8 or so musicians fit each other nicely. so instead of every guy playing 2-3 melodies a song that somehow fit each other and then some semi-random solo, they needed to do so much more. also when individual quality of those musicians reaches such heights as guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, you can really say that the guys that played with zappa were truly epic overall. Saz... Now you really don't understand that proge is music style which isn't categorized People just started to call it that way... because well humans need definition for everything x) But yeah I love frank zappa and basically every kind of music... Aerosmith, THE classic rock band, end of story, kthxbai. and My Chemical Romance; its a fuse of punk-metal, and a more sarcastic metal, as in mama or the hidden track in welcome to the black parade, blood. dun worry im not an emo guy, infact i had a very good day today. but thats besides the pint, which is aerosmith and MCR /\= _______________ "I am Neither Light nor Dark but rather gray, i have embraced both paths of life, and it has made me stronger..." |

Its a brother and sister pairing. They use to be in a mexican thrash metal band. But it failed, so it's just instrumental spanish guitar. No Lyrics.
