Right guys, i would post this in the JKA section but.. well.. nobody ever really reads it. So.
I re-installed jka on wednesday. And i logged on to try and get back into the game. Was fine for the first 5 seconds until i got some major lag spikes, and i mean going from my usual 40 way up to 800+, lagging out at 999 for a minute, back down, and all over the place. Checked with my dad (who also plays game on this network aswell) and he has no problems what so ever so i put it down to my computer. I've re-installed JKA, i've checked my network hardware, i've checked i have no viruses/adware and so on, no downloads, checked everything i can. Nothing else is accessing the internet throgh this computer that i can find. Its driving me up the wall, i left it over-the last day or so before making a post incase it was sojme form of maintinance. But no, and its really miffing me off. It's hard for me to say for sure. It seems like your dad is using up too much bandwidth like Masta assumed.
Does the problem persist if your dad's computer is off? Perhaps try to turn off internet access to him for a moment to rule out the possibility of technical problems on your side. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |

Sounds like the problem is coming from your dad's side of the connection. Are either/both of you on a wireless line? Also, is JKA all that is effected or your internet in general? _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |
