ok i got the GTK Radiant to work, and ive been doing some work in the program. i got a basic room and some other things, but i have a problem, how do i make a door that opens, one that isnt just a hole in the wall between two rooms?
also, i need to make pillars, but i dont know how, if anyone can help me out with either of those two issues i would be immensly appreiatiave. oh yeah and i also need to know how to get custom textures into the game _______________ "I am Neither Light nor Dark but rather gray, i have embraced both paths of life, and it has made me stronger..." its not a problem, you need to take the files from the desktop the JK3 Jedi map and go to your program files locate the steam folder then go to steamapps and then in to the common folder, Find Star wars Jedi Academy and open it up, then open up GAMEDATA and place the Academy map in to the BASE folder Make sure you launch the game via steam's library and not through any shortcuts as steam auto selects single player even when you click a shortcut for multiplayer. hi. i'm a new member and i downloaded the mod necessary to play on the USA Home server. however, after unzipping the files onto my desktop, i still couldnt join the server. i'm not great when it comes to computers but i clearly did something wrong. i got JA on steam (dont know if that's a problem). i dont even know if this is the place to ask for help with this problem. if not, can someone please tell me where to go for help. tnx |

custom textres:
Go to the base/textures folder. Make a new folder. Name it (can be useful if u give the same name as the map). Then go to base/shaders folder. Open the shaderlist text file. Add your textures folder name to the list. Save the file. Open Radiant and u can find ur textures in ur folder. Be carefull w textures size. It must be power of 2 like 64/64, 128/64, 512/256 etc. |

Pillars are just detail brushes placed in certain parts of the room.
For custom textures refer to the shader manual for Q3map2. |
