There were never many young PC gamers to begin with outside of MMORPGs. I've been a PC gamer since I was 5 though. I can still remember AOL and those games you pay $1.25 per hour to play!

Yeah, i can imagine. I'm having an extremly difficult time imagining myself enjoying the game with a gamepad - the restriction on movement must be.. well, just utterly horrible, which is one of the reasons why we probably won't see a game with a combat system as complex as JKA's anytime soon (or for the less optimistically inclined people: ever). After all, the industry has been heavily focusing on consoles for a very long time now, with no end in sight.
Then again, you actually do have console-exclusive RTS games nowadays, so you never know.. Anyways, nope, i don't know anyone who plays the game on the xbox neither.
