Please let me have your advise on a totally non important issue. There is a game that I kinda’ want to get based on how awesome it looks. However I did read a negative review that said the play control was a little lacking. Here’s the catch: the game is only out now in Japan right now, so I could order it without ever playing it or wait several months for it to come to the states and rent it first. Am I just being impatient? Let me know what you think.
BTW here is a video of some movie clips and in-game footage combined that makes me want to buy in instantly. http://www.capcom.co.jp/pn03/img/mov/pn03_3_07.mpg _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Sorry for the delay ioshee For now I'll turn my attention to Tenchu 3 and Devil May Cry 2 for ps2 Two games that I'll never tire of are GTA:ViceCity and Burnout 2, also on ps2. The Onimusha games are cool as well but the game you MUST play is Metal Gear Solid 2. Need any more reasons to buy a ps2? |

So Mistral, they didn't have it anymore at the Game World I usually go to. But I'll keep looking. You never answered me though about your Dreamcast. Can you play American games or only games developed in Scotland? On the subject of this thread, I have decided to wait for sure. Now I’m thinking of getting a PS2. There are a few games that I really think are cool but I know will never be available for the Gamecube. My only concern is that in getting a PS2 it will take even more time away from other things in my life. Some people in my life probably think I play too many games as it is. Your advice on the purchase of a PS2 is appreciated. _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Good point Buzz. I had to get a boot disc so I could play the Euro version of Shenmue II on my Dreamcast. So Mistral, do you have an American Dreamcast or a boot disc? Let me know. Jedi Deity, what do you mean how do you put a picture on you profile? It looks like you have one on your profile. And a good one at that. You know, Mistral and Ioshee, in the past there have been things in games and systems that don't allow you to play games from other countries. For instance if you say bought an N64 over in Japan when it first came out and brought it home to the US with you. Any games released in the US would not play on that system. I believe it was like that with Sega's Saturn and Dreamcast also unless you had a boot disk or did something to the system. I don't know if they are continuing the practice though. So even if you bought that game in Japan and had it brough to wherever you are Ioshee, or bought that game and gave it to Mistral, there might be a compatibility issue with the systems. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. well the link finally worked. the game looks damn cool. my only problem is that i don't know if ill be able to take the story too seriously with her shaking her ass like that. thats just a bit too silly for a game that looks like its going for an epic storyline of save the world and all that crap. but whatever, the gameplay should be fun. _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |

That's extremely generous of you ioshee I'd have to pay of course or at the very least return the favour. Feel weird about giving my address to you? Nah! I trust you. My excitement for this game is growing(even if I do complete it quickly I'll probably go back to it now and again) so if the game is there and you do pick it up that would be fantastic. In the meantime I'll lay off ebay. I've waited this long so I'm definitely in no rush. |

Oooo I LOVE jet set radio. I've thought about buying an Xbox just to get the sequel. How would that work? I go to the store and buy the game and then mail it to you. You don't have to pay me or anything. It's only $8. Unless you feel weird about giving me your mailing address. _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Still got my Dreamcast, still love Jet Set Radio It sure sounds like a lot of fun. I've been kinda berserk about Berserk since watching the series Thank you for your kind offer, you're a prince amongst men. But how would that work? Maybe Ebay would be the best option, don't wanna put you to any trouble |

I have a slight correction. I just read that although Capcom has no plans to release the game for other platforms, they are not under any exclusivity agreement with Nintendo on this specific title. Only Resident Evil 4 (which I’m not really into anyway.) Bubu, 10 new games a day Mistral, It was an ok game, but Way too short (I beat it while renting it) and a little repetitive (it’s basically just a hack and slash brawler.) However it WAS really fun to use that gigantic sword and the graphics were awesome. There were a lot of cinematics but the gameplay looked just as good as the movie sequences. Oh yeah there are a few parts of the game where you are just watching a movie and then you have to hit a button in a set amount of time (like Shenmue.) Have you played Jedi Power battle? The gameplay is almost exactly like that. Where have you been looking for it? Online or in stores? I have seen it at the local Game World for about $8. I have also found it on ebay for a good price ($5 if no one else bids on it.) I don’t know if I mentioned it before but I think it is only available for Dreamcast. So if you don’t have a Dreamcast then disregard everything I said. Tell me if you do have a Dreamcast and I’ll pick it up for you if it’s still at the shop. _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Buy it! NOW!!! Sometimes the risk pays off and whether or not it turns out to be a great game or not it sure looks like fun. I've got to get me a Gamecube Now I have a question for you ioshee. Ages ago you mentioned to me a game based on Berserk. Damned if I can find it. Saw it years ago but wasn't interested then. So, is it worth the effort of all the searching? How would you rate it? |

I've always had faith in movie-tie-in games: ¬ Star Wars - Atari --> Challenging, but good. ¬ Lord Of The Rings - Gamecube --> great game, but a bit short. ¬ Minority Report - Gamecube --> *shudder* ¬ James Bond Goldeneye - N64 --> Great Game, Excelent MP ¬ James Bond Tommorrow Never Dies - PS1 --> Good Game, but no great. It’s not in English yet, but language is not a barrier. Sared, I never liked Tomb Raider because I thought the play control was so bad, although I’ve never really played it (just in-store demos.) Zone of The Enders 2 looks SOOOO sweet, but I don’t have a ps2 I hate to tell you this Sared, but this is one of five EXCLUSIVE games that Capcom is releasing for the Gamecube. BUY A GAMECUBE Ash, get QuickTime 6 Bubu, I think the Japaneseyness (made up word) of the game is what appeals to me the most. Sared seems to be the only one saying don’t wait. Ok here is another factor: What if the cost of the game wasn’t an issue (hypothetically speaking.) _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

I was just teasing Buzz. That is kinda’ sad. Especially when it’s Barbie because she isn’t even that pretty. I do however have a Strawberry Shortcake doll that I can spend hours looking at. She is so hot. About the girly thing: I didn’t really think about the dancing being girly. I just liked the pretty lights and big explosions. Plus I thought it was pretty unique that the main character shoots out of her hands instead of a gun. It really reminds me of a cool fighting game in that it has some really spectacular looking special effects. However everyone here has made me come to the conclusion that I am 97.934% sure I will wait for the U.S. version. _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Nope I just find it rather disturbing. I take it you never saw the commercial for Dead or Alive Volleyball. Its funny and all, but it is totally blatant in what its trying to sell and its not great gameplay. I find it funny and rather sad at the same time. Its like staring at a barbie doll going "wow she's hot." Wouldn't you give a guy a funny look if he did that all the time? _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. I see Buzz. Yeah I know for a fact that they are releasing it in the states so it basically comes down to a matter of patience on my part. A good exercise for me. No I'm not saying its good. In fact I thought it looked stupid. I was talking about Wise's comment about it seeming kind of girly. Now if you're into polygons shaped into Barbie like animations then yeah go for that dead or alive volleyball. My point is that, is it being released in the US? Some games don't make it over here afterall. So if it is being released here wait. If its not, you'll be taking a risk in buying a game you've never played with great graphics and questionable gameplay. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill.
