why dont we come with some ideas to do? this places is far from dead thank god the forums are still active  so lets get an idea like
this is my idea convince the leaders to do a comp 
lets say a tournament 1st 2nd 3rd place gets a prize i know the leaders won't do something like this lets say 1st place the prize is COD:MW3 2nd place prize $50 Visa Gift Card 3rd place prize is an $20 Visa Gift Card or something like that around them lines and the 3 winners get pass the jedi trails to become a jedi knight (if your not one already)And they also get entered in the hall of fame. Jedi Knights are chosen and trialed by us and are meant to maintain peace on the forums, IRC and the servers as well as assist classes and help people out with their skills. One former staff member was promoted to Jedi Knight by winning a tournament. Not sure that this will happen again lol... at least without a trial. Quote: And they also get entered in the hall of fame.
The hall of fame is reserved for those who have made a huge, memorable contribution to the academy, not to tournament winners and the like. yer well it is just and idea and maybe cause of this thing about the Jedi knight thing i don't know what its about but i didn't know about the hall of fame was for that i thought it was about tournaments my bad well maybe the could get a trail start i dont know ay, post your ideas thanks |

Tournaments are awesome. Unfortunately, I don't actually remember there being any (open) JKA tournaments that had anykind of prizes, sole exception being some high-profile ESL ones where the winner would be awarded premium membership for a few months.
Oh yeah the JA TIT ones sometimes awarded prizes as well (back in 2004-05), mostly small budget things like cups and t-shirts, but there was one tournament that had an original FX lightsaber for the first prize. This got scrapped along the way because a certain person who must not be named said things in private chat to some other person that did not amuse the staff at all. Good times! Anyways, where was I - tournaments are awesome. Prizes are great, but considering the low number of people here nowadays (~10) and the amount of money it takes to sponsor the prizes, I'm not too sure... But how about you sponsor the prizes and I organize the tournament? I'm totally up for that.
