It was just EPIC, absolutely one of the fantastic series!
When I say epic, I really mean that the writers surely know how to write a decent lore... White Walkers, Wall, Imp, Wolves, Dragons, Needle, Different Houses, Winterfell, Night's watch... if you haven't watched it allready, GET IT! It is soo good! _______________ Still here | My Lightsaber |

But yes, love both the books and the show. I actually saw the show first, but quickly rectified my error in not having read the books previously after that. The series itself is most definitely unpredictable and staggeringly vast, as excited as I am for season 2 I must admit that now that I'm caught up with the books I find myself wondering if they can continue to do them justice. Early signs are good, although the end of season 2/start of season 3 will be very telling. "There are no men like me, only me." I agree, you hit a turning point at the end of book 2 / book 3. Game of Thrones fit perfectly into a tv series... the other books may not fit as well. @Masta, watch Game of Thrones for a few episodes or pick up novels in A Song of Ice and Fire. The series is pretty much a mature fantasy. Lots of violence and sex... even in the books. I read the book before the tv show but I found the book very predictable and the tv show obviously the same but it's subjective like all media. Don't get me wrong it was amazing and the casting for Khal drogo was perfect.
