Now the NDA is down this thread is for anyone who has participated in the beta (full or weekend access) to discuss their impressions of the game so far.

If anyone who hasn't gotten a chance to test the game yet has questions, ask away. :)

To start: I love my Imperial Agent's VA :D and playing as an Operative is great fun.

I've only been able to test them recently now that I've got a new machine, but I've been impressed by both Warzones and Flashpoints so far. The multiplayer talking bits work much better than I thought too.

I've heard some others say that, but usually about the cover combat style (Gunslinger/Sniper). Is that what you tried? I've heard almost unanimously good things about Operative and Scoundrel, albeit tempered with the fact an MMO community is never truly satisfied with their class.

Monteee: Sorry I haven't replied before, do you have some youtube vids you could share with us? :)

Totally agree about the multiplayer conversations, didn't think that would work anywhere near as well as it has. They are one of the reasons I actually found myself eager to group up, something I haven't really felt in MMOs for quite a while.

Which reminds me I need to look up what sort of rules (if any) you can impose as a group leader to ensure you don't have to contend with one or two people who just want to skip to the fight every time. Not so bad early on, but I gather there are some epic moments later on in the game which are somewhat spoiled unless you have a group as eager to listen to the plot as you are.

I personally didn't enjoy the smuggler class. It was rather boring. :o <--- (yawn symbol)

I've sunk a good ammount of time in the beta right now and i can clearly say this game will be a big success, what it's being sold on a solid story driven MMO, and the story is very much there.

But the question remains is the content there and so far from what i've played the content is always fantastic, of course area's get used again and caves look the same after a while etc.. but thats to be expected in any MMO.

The graphic style isn't to everyones liking but remember a MMO has to be playable on millions of PC's and thus the graphics will suffer from this slightly, this is a reason rift isn't as successful as it wanted to be. Personally for me i like the art style, sure the character models could use a little work but you can't deny the locations and plants etc.. are not well done.

Strong point for me is that you can join your friend on his personal story and see his cut scenes and conversation, altho you cannot join in on the conversations but it really helps you feel where his story is going. Another point when handing in quests that you have both done and you are not close to eachother the person further away has the option to send a hologram to the quest giver to hand in the quest or accept new quests your friend in your group has found. This to me is a great touch, it really keeps a good pace in the questing which isn't as repetitive as some other MMO's, maybe its because you feel more involved in the overall story.

I'll be throwing up some Youtube videos of flashpoints later and some pvp if i get chance, so feel free to check them out i'll link them in here or i'll make a new post about it.

Just one more thing, the multiple person dialogue conversations are very well done and if your all together on mumble/teamspeak or ventrilo it can lead to some hilarious moments.
