If you have pre-ordered SWTOR or participated in the Beta prior to Nov 25th you'll need to read this to get ready for early release.
In preparation for the official release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we wanted to make sure that everyone has the correct game client installed on their machine. If you participated in our Game Testing Program before November 25th, we recommend that you uninstall the game testing client (refer to instructions below) and then download and install the launch game client. We’ll update this post with more instructions when they’re available. You will need 27GB of free space to install the launch game client. The actual size of the game client is approximately 19GB (without additional languages installed). If you have played in our game testing program at any point from November 25th onwards, you will not need to re-install the game client, as you should already have the launch version installed. To verify that you have the launch version installed, you can check for the "assets_swtor_main" version file in the following location on your computer: Program Files (x86)EABioWareStar Wars – The Old Republic (assuming default installation). If you have that file present, you do not need to reinstall the game client. I don't recall many MMOs trying this staggered launch though. preordering mmos for the early access is rather risky. i dont recall many mmos having perfect launch. what im saying is - dont be overexcited.... just in case. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february.  Yeh however, they cunningly said "up to" They're giving people access in order of pre-order. Whoever pre-ordered first will get access first. They stress tested the servers over the open beta, they even lowered the servers for the 2nd weekend mass invite, ( some people didn't get reinvite ) just to properly guage the number for each server, im sure with pre order numbers and projected sales for release day ( 20th ) they have the number of servers ready for such number. Yeah, there have been growing pains but they really seem to learn from (most of) their mistakes, which is promising. On the whole it's been quite impressive and I hope the launch itself reflects that. I wonder how they will handle this to be honest. I think it will be depending on when you pre-ordered obviously, but also on how much the servers can handle. They say they will send out e-mails on the day you're allowed to play during the pre-order time so I'm guessing they are also stress-testing the servers. Like, first allowing X amount of people on them, then when that goes well, allow X amount more, etc, etc, etc. Pretty nifty to be honest . Great news. That's going to make a lot of people happy, presuming there are no issues getting everyone into the early access. I just patched over my old build last time but I've got the main assets file so it should work well enough, just be a bit larger than needed. I'll keep it on my system to speed up getting into the full game. Hmm I probably have the right version then. I have said file in my directory and I played during the 25th november beta weekend. I did download the game-client a few days before that but I guess it should be fine .

Mines good to go as well, because two weekends ago (the one right after Thanksgiving) I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it thinking something was screwed up cause it wasn't logging in for me.
So I'm good to go, all I need now is my CE to come in!

Good post Jade. Basically, if you got in testing before Thanksgiving beta weekend (November 25th) and didn't do a full re-install, you should do so now.
