As for gear, with the latest patch it's really easy tog et full centurion. I level'd cross a bit over 2 weeks ago and I have 4 companions in full centurion gear. I have full champion save gloves and rank 59, 7k Valor to battlemaster. It's all really easy tbh. It does make a huge difference though. Don't believe the tooltip. Hit 50 last Saturday. enjoying it a lot more than Guardian. I wouldn't say it's "better" but enjoy it a lot more.
