Ikeep doing this... (i thought i made this post last week but o well) Hi guys this is to all section leaders, people involved in sections, editors, demo recorders ,screenshot takers, random people: i am here to help, i offered my help to MoS and he told me to post here so i am posting. Thats nice mate, but yeah, we really wanted academy ranks. This would definately go in the Jedi lore section which ulic belouve seemed interested in doing. (is that padawan possitioning right ? Jedi Initaite :: The Jedi Initiate is the very first rank in jedi sucession and is usualy quickly over come. Most jedi begin at an extreemly young age and Quickly advance to the next rank. However, for an older student it may take a bit of time to over come certain ways of thinking. Even so this rank never last to long for any one with sensitivity in the force. :: Jedi Learner. The Jedi Learner is taking his/her/it's first steps to truly learning about the force. His Mind has been slightly atuned to its presense and one actualy begins to feel the force if only slightly. The Mind is still strugling with accepting the truths of the force and it still seems distant and magical, espicaly to an older student. ::Jedi Apprentice :: This is a very important stage is a Jedi Training. He/She/It is "Taken On" by a Jedi Knight but most often a Jedi Master. If taken on by a Jedi Knight, the Jedi Knight is still considered that apprentices Master. Here is where there training truly begins. They slowly gain Force Skills and there Understanding of the force is so that they are able to connect the concepts of there lessions with real life situations. The Apprentence is taken along with the master on whatever missions the master is sent on. By this time they should have enough experience to be able to carry there own in most situations without the CONSTANT supervision of the Master. It is here that a student begins to see his/her/it's master as a father figure. Even if female, the master still takes on a more masculan roll then femimen. A Mother figure would be a comforter more than a warrior. Even Female Jedi hold all the skills of a Jedi and are just as worthy Opponents for the force uaualy evens the balance the opposite sex would normaly have. The Jedi Apprentice begins to learn to accept the masters interpertation of the will of the force and see the master as the authority figure. :: Journey Man :: This rank was mainly assigned to Jedi Apprentices with acceptional skill and understanding of the force. The Journyman proved extreemly useful about 4000 years before the events in A New Hope. The journymen can be sent on missions alone, although they are not equipted to handle hostile situations as a Jedi Knight. They have some experience in dealing with threts and are often sent to deliver important messages or escort diplomatic officals, things along those lines. A journyman can hold his own in comabt when not faced with overwhelming odds. They also posses skills such as being able to deflect a laser bolt. At this stage the Apprentics is about halfway to becoming a Jedi Knight. :: Charge:: The Charge was also a rank developed around 4000 years before A New Hope. The Charge was an Acceptionaly Devoted and Skilled Journyman. The Charge was the at this point impervious to such concepts as a "Bribe" and was above moral impurities. His undertsanding of the force was developed and sharp. The Charge could handel most situations of hostility and nearly all situations of diplomacy. He was quick on his feet and his wits were sharp. Charges are known for being resourcful and. If a group of journymen were sent on a mission the Charge would act as the leader. At this point it is ALMOST certain the student will become a Jedi Knight. :: Jedi Disciple : This Rank requires one to have an acute understandinf of the force. A Jedi Disciple trains hard both mentaly and physcialy to advance to the next level. They are Devoted, Loyal, Respectful, Honest, and have been around the block once or twice. They can be sent on missions expecting hostility. A Jedi Disciple studys the force constantly attempting to focus his skills as a Jedi. His force skills are developed but not fine tuned. This is the stage when the Jedi attempts to attune himself finding new limits and challanges. There is a Massvie jump in knowledge, understanding and ability. The Jedi Disciple is comitted. He is also pleased with his new abilites. Much of the physcial strignth and confidance is gained during this time. :: Jedi Padawan : The Jedi Padawan is the last rank before Jedi Knight. Padawans are strong in the force and an even match for many a foe. They have almost doubled there abilites sense last rank and there mental conditioning is nearly complete. They server there masters well and follow there commands to the letter. They bare the full burdens of a Jedi Knight and there masters even trust them with there lives. They face almost impossable obsticals and over comming them is what they do best. They have almost asertained there lifes goal... to become a Jedi Knight. It is usualy a matter of understand that will make that happen, seeing there abilites are acute. The Final Trial Awates. :: Jedi Knight :: Jedi knights are powerful, peaceful, agressive, passive, strong, respected, instruments of the will of the force to do its biding what ever that may be, bound by honor and loyality, followers of a noble code, guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy.. you can not be a jedi knight until you are all of these thingsThe Jedi Knight has passed his final trial, usualy being the largest obstical in the jedi' life. He is trusted by the Jedi Council to fulfil the will of the force what ever it may be. His mind is conditioned to the fullest extent. He is dispatched to guard peace and justice in the galaxy. A wisp of myths and legends sorround the Jedi Knight. He is a Knight, A warrior of the Jedi Code. This class of Jedi is the only class to carry the Light Saber. Nothing will over come the Knight for he is the overcomer of all. He bares no emotion, no weakness, no faults. His loyality is unquestionable. He is the ultimate servant of the force. "A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. Adventure. HEH! Excitement. HEH! a jedi craves not these things." ~Jedi Master Yoda~ To a Jedi Knight, Strength flows from the force, Size matters not,There is no try, There is no Death ~ There is the Force. :: Jedi Master :: The Jedi Master. An honorific title given to the greatest of Jedi, those who are strong enough in the force and patient enough in life and even beyond. The Jedi Master has truly mastered the abilites of the force, through understanding and experience. His mind is strong as well as his body. Often Jedi Masters rely on there wits more than there weapons, but make no mestake. A Jedi Master is also a master of combat. They have great experience and knowledge. A Jedi Master has been across the galaxy and knows much of the universe around him or Her. They are adapt at dealing with every situation. A Master Jedi is wise and understanding. This makes him powerful and seemingly invencable. The Jedi Masters abilites by this time are fine tuned. He understands the will of the force well and will always follow it.. The stregnth of a Jedi Master versus a Jedi Knight is considerable. A Jedi Master is stronger beacuse through understanding comes strignth. Knowledge is power. But the full abilites of a Jedi Master are rarely displayed for whatever the situation the Jedi Master has it resolved before it becomes nessicary to use such force. Masters are less prone to exert there sheer power as a Knight would, for when the knight has no alternitives and is force unleash the power of the force to settle a conflict, the Master Jedi has but only expired a a small portition of his bag of tricks. Noble and True to the Jedi Code, to be called a Jedi Master is indeed one of the greatest of Privlages. :: Grand Master : aka Master w/honors More accuratly refered to as "Master with Honors" Grand Master was a title MOSTLY given to jedi who had sacraficed there lives in battle, almost like a medal of honor. This title is given to the greatest of the great Jedi Masters. It is rarely spoken of and commonly known that Jedi Masters who hold this title make up the 5 Life time members of the Jedi Council. They are the most repsected members of the Jedi Order and hold the greatest authority. :: Jedi Watchman :: This rank is almost non-exhistant. It was utilized primiarly some 4000 years before the battle of yavin. The Greatest of Grand Jedi Masters were given the responceability of watching over an ENTIRE star system. There abilites of farseeing through the force were unbelivable. They watched over there system and dispatched there students to put down any problems that arose. They were the most power of all Jedi. The greatest masters of Jedi Legond. However, because they were called to take up residence in the star system they watched over, they did not reside on the jedi council. seeing as this would require there presence on coruscant. Above is Jedi Watchmen Arca Jeth, known to be the GREATEST lightsaber duelest in all starwars history. He also had a training compound for Jedi Knights. The purpose of this was to improve there combat skills. He was also allowed to have multipal students beacuse of this compound. :: Jedi Lord :: The Jedi Lord. There is no higher rank or rating. The Jedi Lord holds supreem authority in matters reguarding the will of the force. Only a 8 to 4 vote by the jedi council can override a discision by a Jedi Lord. In all starwars history there has only been 4 recorded Jedi Lords and only 1 Documented. The Jedi Lord commanded the armys of the Jedi 4000 years before the battle of yavin. Jedi Lord Hoth almost single hadedly wiped out the entire sith race at the location now knows as the Valley Of The Jedi. The only surviver, a sith. Darth Bane. A Jedi Lord has surpased exhistance and limitations. Although no ware near ALL POWERFUL at times it may seem this way. A Jedi Lord's understanding of the force is supreem. It is Impossable to become a Jedi Lord by ones own doing. Only the force itself can place such a burden upon a living being. A Jedi Lord Rarely even uses his Light Saber although it is carried for symbolism. The Jedi Lord's abilites make such a weapon un-nessicary. A Jedi Lord is responceable for burdens untold. He is the most respected, most honored, most responceable, Servent of the force. With great power comes great responceability. A Jedi Lord is still responceable to the council. His discisions are rarely questioned but he is also the most humble member of the Jedi Order. These are the 12 Jedi Ranks i was tought.
