Problem with Keys

When I press too many keys at once.. like 3 or more, my computer stalls and it makes a beep until I release the keys. In JK2 when I press too many keys especially in duels, my computer freezes, and I have to restart. I asked someoen about this and they said to look for "Sticky Keys" in my control panel, but I am unable to find it. If anyone can help me out I'd be very thankful.

I have a multi key problem..a bit different tho.

whenever i am holding shift/ctrl/Left mouse and W (forward in all my action games) I cant strafe left regardless of what key i set it as. Its rather annoying because i cant run diagonally forward left (A movment used a surprising amount with me) It's amazingly frustrating when it happens.

lol yeah but its well annoying, jumping to charge up bryar and kill someone, only to find out it didn't charge, and they've gone :( Training in harsh conditions like that is good, as it prepares you to react better in situations. Also, heavy lag training (like on the academy servers with a ping of 170 when you normally get 25) helps you train better for when you play on 'zero-G/lag' servers he he.

Still would like it to work though, as it gets damn annoying when you do something that can cost you a frag/match/game

The Sticky Keys can be activated usually by holding down one of the shift keys or pressing one of them 8 times in a row. The next time you get it to pop up try looking around in the box, there should be an options somewhere to allow you to disable it. The reason these things are there is to help people with disabilities. One of the function is if people are slow with their hands so that it takes a long time to lift up after they press a key. that way when they want to type "A" it doesn't come out "AAAAAAAA" Same thing with the constant touching method of bringing it up. There is also a third one but I'm at home on windows 98 so I can't look and find it.

Yeah man I have that. all started when I installed win 2000. I can now only press 2 keys at once, which means combos and stuff, such as backflip overhead swing (bakwards, jump, fire) have to be done differently, rather than just hitting the keys. Also, when jumping and firing whilst moving, sometimes I'll do the jump forward, but won't be able to charge up my bryar, and so will have to let go of the fire button then press it again, which, obviously, takes time.

The beeping thing, I get that too, its called sticky keys or something, if you quit back to windows you'll see a new little box has popped up on your taskbar icon tray thing (bottom right) and I have no idea how to get rid of this.

The multiple key thing doesn't happen in win 98 though.
