Yup, I think so. I've lost my beleive in George Lucas after what he did with the EU and SW in general  But it will be amazing to see all the jedi fight and die  Well, *if* we'll see it, because I couldnt really understand the saber fights in EPII. well, my opinion about the star wars is that the old ones r extremely better because of the better story and more characterized protagonists. I have to say i enjoyed ep1 and 2, but characters were a bit flat and they had probs with times in the story, who were sometimes fast and sometimes real slow. anyway there were great saber fights, and i think we should thank those episodes if JKII combats r that cool  _______________ PEACE LOVE AND THE UNIVERSE, Krus |

Episode I had some irrealistic story content. But cool saber fights and the first "real" Jedi tricks, that wasn't much in the old ones. Episode II has way too many focus on love and the story is far too "to the point", you've got to see it 3 times before you really understand all the links. But very cool battles and saber fights. Episode III will be a final and a beginning in one, the end of the Republic, of Anakin as Anakin (he'll turn into Vader), of the Jedi Order, but the beginning of the story of the old trilogy, the beginning of the Empire, the stormtroopers, the Sith. I think the story is pretty much already prescribed by Episode II and Episode IV, so George better make it fit well for I'm not taking a story as Episode I again Episode IV is my favorite, the REAL Star Wars. Episode V is good as well, I really like the Luke 'n Vader part. i think phantom menace was really disappointing but AOTC was very entertaining.Very interesting buzz,i never thought about it before but the original trilogy and the sequels are indeed very similar in plot.lets hope lucas pulls something unexpected out of his hat for the third although somehow i doubt it. _______________ When the doors of perception are cleansed, then we shall see things as they truly are! I've written out the warped mirror image things several times already on few different threads. This time I put down the battle correlations because this is about episode 3 being a letdown. I don't think he has much of a problem with the combat scenes. He's got a problem with the overall story that the prequels have been set to. You know starting off the movies with a blockade because of taxes, and all that. The forced romance between anakin and padme. And if it doesn't look forced to you I want to know what movie you were watching. And anyone who's watched the original trilogy has already seen this trilogy. Let's look at the battles first. A New Hope: Group of fighters take on overwhelming odds and a huge battle station to save the day. The Phantom Menace: Group of fighters take on overwhelming odds and a huge droid control ship to save the day. Empire Strikes back: Ground battle, and a fight through an asteroid belt where the heros hide on an asteroid. AOTC: Ground battle, and a fight through and asteroid belt where the hero hides on an asteroid. Return of the Jedi: Massive Space battle with fighters and capital ships while a lightsaber fight and a ground battle goes on. Episode 3: Nothing yet. But I'm predicting here an now for a massive space battle with fighters and capital ships with at least a lightsaber fight going on with it. For some other current similarities. ANH and TPM both have the discovery of the hero learning he has Jedi Potential. The mentor of them is struck down by a sith while an apprentice watches. ESB and AOTC has a blossoming romance between two main characters. The Jedi hero sees a vision of friends in trouble and goes against superiors suggestion not to go save them, Luke in a vision through the Force, Anakin in a transmission. Both lose part of right arm in the ensuing conflicts. That's something I see, the new prequels are just a warped mirror representation of the originals. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. I think the originals were WAY superior. People only like the new ones because of the technology improvements since the first trilogy, and the fancy saber flashing.
