I just have a nice idea, for a long time. Instead of having a map like this, and sitting on the forums, we could make it more interesting  . For egsample, we do a big map, with different rooms: Force training room, saber training room, etique learning room, jac room, jak room, jat room, jas room ( ), shooting range. We would do these rooms, then combine them with teleports around the map. I think that would cut down fps. Imagine, everyone come with they're padawans, learn what they need, fight with their friends. It woyuld be really cool.There are problems:1.JAK's have multiple Paddys 2.JAT's should have 5-8 Paddys, instead of classes. 3.Ping problems. 4.FPS problems There would be a site, but everything that is really necessary, would be on the server/s. We would start living on the servers, not just playing. I would be like a MMORPG. And we would spawn in a kind of dormitory room _______________ Quote: Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Yeah, I know it's not possible, but guys, 32 peeps multipliedy by let's say 3 server, that's 96 people. A nic little Academy. I've actually played in a 64 player server before, was re-inacting the battle of geonosis, jedi vs merc, damn exciting. thats dope but the Jk2 engine only allows like 32 ppl per server per time or something so ya, if u did that i'd prolly need to be divided into divisions and server per division or somthing like that. _______________ May The Force Be With U! DustiN |

It's and intersting idea for sue, but I don't think you could hold it in the jk2 engine. It just can't handle that many players on the server. Maybe n the future when the technology's up to it it can be done. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

One other problem. With the huge amount of people signed up to this Academy already, and the number of people that the Server will allow, on the scale that you are talking about... No one will be able to learn anything, because ALOT of people will be attempting to talk at once, therefore, everyone will need to bring down their constoles and page up a few times every couple of seconds. The Theory itself is a nice idea though. If you want to put it into practise, I'll meet you in Star Wars Galaxies when it comes out. - Virty.  _______________ Academy Architect |

Yeah this is a fantastic idea, and this would be the ideal layout of the academy. The thing is, its not only not possible, its not practical either. You have lag issues, time difference issues, stuff happening but only people around at that time able to know about it (unlike leaving messages on forums)Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't wanna be here all day....(some of us wish we could though  )Praps in a few hundred years when all games are virtual reality, or matrix training program style, this method of playing will be implemented. _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side
