I have one with my friends, my brother and his friends every few months. The problem is they are all sort of casual gamers, who play every now and then, not like me who plays for like 3-4 hours a day. a lan party is basically where large amounts of people get together with comps and play on a Local area network or LAN. They are great fun in my opinion and you can play just about anything. also there are console lans like aeth said with xbox and thats fun too. so really its just a bunch of people getting to gether and playing computer games. _______________ "this is Icco. Um....my friends do something called "bloodfest" They take 4 x-box's and hook each up to a different TV, then to each other, so its just one massive TFFA. I've played once its awesome. Each team gets a TV so you have no idea where anyone besides your teammates are and yeah its fun but i'm not sure if that really counts as a LAN party, but its still fun _______________ Dicemaster |

man you want a lan party, just live in a dorm. 30 plus people playing a game everynight. now those are some lan parties. but usually you cant convince most people to play anything else besides counterstrike. then again counterstrike on a lan is completly different from playing it online. on a lan its actually fun because you know who you are playing and you know wheather or not they are cheating. and if they are cheating you can just go down the hall and kick their ass. god i miss lan parties. used to have tournaments like everyweek. damn, im gettin all nostalgic now. i have to go....*runs away crying* _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |
