In light of a conversation starting on #ja, I have decided to start a thread to contain my rantings and ludicris ideas on life and the world around us. View this post at your own risk!! --------------------------------------------- Dreams... we all have them. Some people cant remember them, but we all have them. They are essential to our existance. Dreams are a by-product of our body's regeneration process that happens when we sleep. It is essential to our survival and our growth as humans, to dream every night. Just because you dont remember your dreams, doesn't mean you dont have them. Have you ever had a dream about a situation that hasn't happened yet? Something simple, like getting mail from an old friend you haven't talked to for a while, or something more complex like about your later-life? Have you ever dreamed something and then it happened? (not deja-vu, but a pre-cognitive dream about a situation) I think everyone has had this happen atleast once or twice in their life. The more you WANT to become aware of your dreams, the more you will be able to control your dreams, and control your destiny. Try this experiment: Before you goto bed (on a night that you can sleep in the next day) set your alarm for 3 hours and 30 minutes from the time you goto bed. The 30 minutes is to allow you to sleep, and the 3 hours is the first 2 cycles of sleep (into deep sleep, REM state and back out). Put a notepad and a penicil next to your bed. All ready to write down when you wake up. Before you sleep, think about something you want to dream about. Pick an adventure for you to go on. Plan to dream about being a Jedi Padawan and heading out to the outer rim on a reconnisince mission. Then lay down and focus on that. Think only about being a jedi, and going on your mission. Keep thinking of this until your fast asleep. When you wake up, grab your pencil and start jotting down just some ideas about your dream. DONT take too long, be awake for only about 2 minutes tops. Then turn off your alarm and go back to bed. When you wake up, read what you wrote, and see if you remember more about the dream now. See if the dream has now become a memory and a part of you. Try this for 2 nights in a row (on a weekend maybe) and tell me what your dreams are about. You wont nessisarily dream about what you wanted to, but write it down anyway, that is part of the test. See what your brain ended up coming up with when your sleeping. I look forward to making this a good thread to follow. -Huxley |

mmm twas a good speach.... wut kinda freaks me out is not that ive had deja vu, its that it happens often to me. i mean, just recently im walking in the mall, and something in my brain just connected to a dream, or a glimpse of exactly what i was experiencing. since i was small this happened to me, though it happens less now. i dont really dream anymore. for some reason ive had peaceful, uninterrupted sleep for a few months, unless i dont remember the dreams. btw, does this connect wit quantum physics by any chance hux? _______________ Personal body guard to teh 1337 Jacen Aratan! I have a dream speech, amazing. He winged the whole I have a dream part on down, awesome. It has been said it was the best speech of the 20th century. I must concur. If you listen to it the way he works the crowd in rhythmic, powerful bursts. Truly great. That makes me feel good to be an American. For those of you that havent actually read this thing, please do so...You can't help but shed a tear. God bless the USA on this independence day!! I have a dream - by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity. But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the Negro is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition. In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of God's children. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Negro. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring." And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California! But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee! Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring. When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!" _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |

Sup, The 1st dream I can remeber having since I was little, was about a week ago. I was lying down and I couldnt see anything. My eyes werent closed it was just really dark. I cant seem to stand up, or even sit up for that matter. None of this bothers me. I do find out I was roll though. I start to roll to my right, I keep rolling and rolling until I cant seem to roll any further to the right. I've had a couple "sex dreams". Sweet. We should make a JA Dream Enhancer (Sheets of blank white 'concentration' paper) and sell it to people. Never experienced too much control. I've figured that you dream of boredom. No, really! See, if I have a lot of work to do, beeing busy all day and sleep late (that means 99% of my days) I dont dream. However, if I'm on holiday, just do nothing and sleep early... I dream. It's quite entertaining from time to time, you can have a nice laugh. I've always believed that interfering with your dreams is a bad thing. I think Sleep is like when you defragment your hard drive except you are defragmenting your brain. Organizing memory to make it more efficient. I also believe that premonitions are nothing more than your brain performing complex mathematical scenarios and coming to a final conclusion to the end result of which past events will lead to a certain unpleasant or otherwise situation that could be avoided. I tried that thing Magra talked about. My dreams were CRAZY. I just felt like driving, and suddenly I felt keys in my pocket...to a McLaren. And I got onto an open road and did 220...and I could FEEL the shaking of the car and hear the roar. It was sweet. And then I ended up back at football, where Coach put me in at running back. I suddenly became an all-star, cutting and sprinting faster than anyone could POSSIBLY run. I even decided that I'd move fast enough to make it look like the Matrix. And sunovabitch it worked. I heard it's possible to die in your dreams! If someone has a dream about fallen off a large cliff or building and fall for quite a long time and eventually hit the floor, the shock should wake you up and perhaps kill you this because your mind is still in a subconcious state but you body is awake. but i definetley heard that the shock can can kill you, weired huh? Well this is interesting stuff which I'd like to talk to you more about huxley! first of all, deja vus! Everyone had them more then once in their life! some might have not! its actually quite simple to explain. It goes back to our primal instincts. Humans in early ages without technologie had to use more of the potential of the capabillities of the human body and mind. So since they used it, they developped a bit of their sixth sense, but due to the current technologie and narrowmindness of the human, this gift has been gone from our instincts and surpressed in our brain to be marked as stupid or unreal. But people, believe it or not. the gift of precognition is a fact and deja vus are a small sign of the capability of the human to forsee certain things in the near future. It might seem weird since of the movie and stuff but in reality you just have to free your mind. you just need to let go of all doubts and just listen to your mind and all other senses you have! you'll start to experience things on a new level! you'll be able to pinpoint exactly what causes certain things like headaches, you'll even be able to psychally control your heartritm, all this requires training. But by training your mind, you'll be able to breach the barriers of the weirdest there is to understand and thats the human dream! you'll be able to mentally wake up in your dream and fulfill your highest desires like for instance you'd be able to fly in your own dream and control it, you'll even experience the sensations that come with flying but just realize this. If ya reach this stage, keep with your legs on the ground, cause after all, its just a dream. You'll wake up and not be able to fly anymore. But you'll be able to feel sensations, you'd never experience in real life. it will open your mind and break the barriers in your mind that society today has put there. So my advice for you all! Free your mind and let go, Find out the true potential of your body and mind by just learning to feel. Have fun trying boys and girls and let me know if you get a bit of results I hope nobody is freaked out now |
