In light of a conversation starting on #ja, I have decided to start a thread to contain my rantings and ludicris ideas on life and the world around us. View this post at your own risk!! --------------------------------------------- Dreams... we all have them. Some people cant remember them, but we all have them. They are essential to our existance. Dreams are a by-product of our body's regeneration process that happens when we sleep. It is essential to our survival and our growth as humans, to dream every night. Just because you dont remember your dreams, doesn't mean you dont have them. Have you ever had a dream about a situation that hasn't happened yet? Something simple, like getting mail from an old friend you haven't talked to for a while, or something more complex like about your later-life? Have you ever dreamed something and then it happened? (not deja-vu, but a pre-cognitive dream about a situation) I think everyone has had this happen atleast once or twice in their life. The more you WANT to become aware of your dreams, the more you will be able to control your dreams, and control your destiny. Try this experiment: Before you goto bed (on a night that you can sleep in the next day) set your alarm for 3 hours and 30 minutes from the time you goto bed. The 30 minutes is to allow you to sleep, and the 3 hours is the first 2 cycles of sleep (into deep sleep, REM state and back out). Put a notepad and a penicil next to your bed. All ready to write down when you wake up. Before you sleep, think about something you want to dream about. Pick an adventure for you to go on. Plan to dream about being a Jedi Padawan and heading out to the outer rim on a reconnisince mission. Then lay down and focus on that. Think only about being a jedi, and going on your mission. Keep thinking of this until your fast asleep. When you wake up, grab your pencil and start jotting down just some ideas about your dream. DONT take too long, be awake for only about 2 minutes tops. Then turn off your alarm and go back to bed. When you wake up, read what you wrote, and see if you remember more about the dream now. See if the dream has now become a memory and a part of you. Try this for 2 nights in a row (on a weekend maybe) and tell me what your dreams are about. You wont nessisarily dream about what you wanted to, but write it down anyway, that is part of the test. See what your brain ended up coming up with when your sleeping. I look forward to making this a good thread to follow. -Huxley |

I haven't had a dream in weeks, but I think I've realized why now...heh. The other night...or morning...I get confused. It was about 5:50AM and I hadn't really been tired to begin with. I layed over on my side just thinking...I slowly grew tired and finally fell asleep at 6AM. I woke up an hour later feeling like I had slept for 12 hours straight.  Well, I didn't dream at all, but I was rested. I should try to get about 8 hours of sleep next chance I get..  Edit: The next morning, I had so much more energy than I usually have that it were almost like I were on drugs. lol. Thankfully, I know not what the effects of drugs are like. _______________ Wanna know what my name means? Peralos Ale'Velkyrii: Perilous Drunken Angel, or PDA for short.  Perilous, because I'm bound to get into fights I can't win. Drunken, because ALE! Angel, because a valkyrie is basically an angel of Odin. Dreamed again about a girl! A different one this time. Pretty cool that is. Holidays give you time to sleep and dream... better than every movie  The only thing I'm worring about is that there were parts of GTA3 and Mafia in my dream. Both games I've played recently. Mmmmh, I had a dream about a beautifull girl. I realised I was dreaming at the moment I was waking up. A bit weird. My dream last for something like 2 seconds and I didnt even notice the "story". Anyway, thinking of the scene made me smile all day long. I'm trying to find out who that girl actually was since two days already. Maybe it was a vision? And, yes...I have dreamt about buying something I've wanted. I can't remember what, but I remember going to Wal-Mart (or wherever) and actually PURCHASING the item. I went home, and put it in a specific spot. The next morning, I got up and went to get it. It wasn't there. After a few moments of thought, I realized, once again, it was a stupid dream. One time, my brother and I rented a few PS2 games for our simple amusement...heh. One day, I went into my brother's room and found the rentals on the ground. I started to SLIGHTLY panic because they were about...2 weeks overdue. I went to bed and, the next morning, I remembered the fact that they were 2 weeks late. I went and asked him about it real quick so he could take them back soon. He said they were due back tomorrow. I suddenly realized it had been a dream. My sleep life has always been interesting. There was a time when I could remember my dreams very vividly, but no more. Now, I don't dream. I'm aware of myself being asleep, and I can sort of control my sleep. I can wake up at any time, by simply thinking about it. Conversely, my sleep is very deep, and I don't wake up unless I feel like it. Once, my house alarm was going off because of a false alarm, and I was aware of the alarm in my sleep, and decided to ignore it and continue sleeping. This was when I became aware of my abilities. Very strange. |

I had a dream last night where I was sitting down, then got up and started casually talking to a group of my friend's, plus this girl I like, and then (I guess it was the radio) a song came on and I started the dance number, but then I was done. My friend's continued the dance, and then I was home, more 80's music in the background, and here I am, sadly back in reality with no girl. thats not good...read into it and see what it says. i know what it means but will not say.. for the last few years i have had a dream and i have not wanted to relise what it ment.. but i will not sa untill it passes which should be soon very soon.dont worry though. every thing will be fine. there is also a secnd part to it which is very good. i will tell you in the dream there are 2 paths inwhich i have to chose from. the time for my disition is comeing up fast and soon i will know. but fear not.
