This post is about labels. You know, like Nerd, Jock, Geek, Skater etc. I'm trying to create a database of these, and I would appreciate it very much if you would help me bring it together. Give me a name plus a description and I will add it to my database. Thank you. Label Info 1. Nerd. The most basic and commonly used. Refers to someone who spends all his/her time studying. That is, when they're not checking out the latest math theory books at the bookstand. Normally seen hanging around libraries in study groups, with straight, combed down hair and wearing thick glasses. Giggles. 2. Jock. To start, I don't believe there is a single jock in the whole world who can turn on a computer without help, let alone one in the academy. A jock is a person who is into sports and himself (although not necessarily good at either) but with a brain the size of a walnut. I'm sure you're familiar with this kind of person. 3. Prep. A person who is all brains and looks. Usually wears some name brand shit like Abercrombie or American Eagle. Always wears khaki pants. Most girls seem to like preppy guys. Usually has a lot of friends and mixes with other classes of people like Nerd or Punk/Skater. Always tries to be funny in class, but usually isnt. Tries to tell jokes that teachers will get. Can be a suck up. Likes to listen to crap music like Pop. 4. Geek. The geek is a subtype of the nerd in that they both lack in social skills. But where the nerd puts his energy into studying, the geek uses it for RPGing, reading comic books, playing collectible card games and doing other geeky things. They often have extensive knowledge of their favourite films/tv show and can give you quotes without even thinking. Geekhood has become more accepted in the recent years with the release of the LOTR movies. 5. Skater. Listens to punk rock, probably plays in a band, reads skateboard magazines, attire usually includes gloves, helmets (albeit rarely) and skater shoes, normally belongs to a gang. The typical American pre-teen. Prefers three-quarter pants or shorts to jeans. Loud colors. Can be annoying. Salutes punk rock. 6. Punk. Almost the same thing as skater, just doesn't like skater stuff, listens to most types of rock and dyes his hair, sometimes several colors at once, gels his hair into spikes, wears spikes, chains, more than likely has a spike-studded metal knuckle. 7. Goth. They wear all black, and white face makeup. THey listen to Marilyn Manson and are really depressing to be around. 8. Grunger. Subtype of Goth, but wear casual clothing. They listen to Nu Metal and Heavy Rock, and are often quite loud. 9. Suckup. The teachers pet. Enough said. 10. Gangster. Baggy clothes, scarf or headband, thinks 2pac lives, listens to hiphop, gold chains, checks everyone he sees, bounces and wobbles so much you think he might fall, has a ciggarette in mouth but it isnt lighted, starts every sentence with "yo" and ends with "bitch", think his jumping is breackdance, dreams of parties like the ones in MTV clips. 11. Trendy. The guy who thinks he's "rock 'ard", looks at everyone he sees when walking down the street in case they are looking at him. Has a white baseball cap with a long strap sticking out the back or a hood, or both worn simultaneously. Normally wears all white, sports clothes such as Nike, Addidas, yet play no sports at all. Think they are the most important people in the world. Have little cars which have been modded up with anything glossy which lights up and makes it sound faster. Play loud music on the oversized sound system in the car, which has no rythm, consists of 5 words repeated over and over, and depicts killing other people because they looked at them or aren't cool enough. Trendy girls are very slutty, use enough hairspray to make a whole in the Ozone layer and always wear big round ear rings that look like curtain rail rings. Always wear lots of gold. Most are very fat or ugly but think they are attractive. Those that are attractive know it, and flaunt around like they are better than everyone else. As you might of guessed I hate trendy people with a passion. This only really applies to the UK, but when you hear of a stabbing or a mugging, its a trendy person. When you hear of old people saying bad things about the youth of today, they are talking about bad experiences they have had with trendy people. 12. Dirtbag/Burnout. They can be recognized by their denim or leather jackets along with Harley Davidson T-shirts, patches, etc. They party like it's their last day on Earth and don't like any of the other labelled groups. Most of them, however, don't even know how to ride a motorcycle. They just look like they do. 13. Hippy. You will know them by their long hair and tye-dye T-shirts. You almost forgot these: Dirtbag/Burnout - They can be recognized by their denim or leather jackets along with Harley Davidson T-shirts, patches, etc. They party like it's their last day on Earth and don't like any of the other labelled groups. There is a guy in my class who was is a starting defensive end and he is totally into the Age of Empire series. A defensive end that graduated this year got a 30 on the ACT and a full scholarship to Stanford and finished 2nd in his class. Last year's graduating class at my school had a lineback and offensive lineman who both got full full scholarships to Tulane(practically an Ivy league college). There is also an offensive line man in my class who plays Half-Life, Age of Empires, Warcraft3, and a ton of others, not to mention he is ranked near the top of my class. The list goes on. Don't stereotype. |

add to the geek pretty much spends all his time on the computer and establishes a social life on the net, extra smart, and reads too many books, remembers EVYER LINE IN A MOVIE!!! that means the matrix... i know only too many... the skater listen to punk rock, probably plays in a band, reads skateboard magazines, this includes gloves, helmets and sk8er shoes, probably is in a sker gang. the punk same thing as sk8er, just doesn't like sk8 stuff, listen to most types of rock and highlights his hair several color, gels his hair into spikes, wears spikes, chains, more than likely has a chain rap for fist (dunno if this is tru). _______________ When you are told something for years, you learn to accept it.
