Hey I'm curious. My friend hosted a dedicated server and wants to set me up as an admin. How would he do that? _______________ Follow the virtues of your heart |

for Tele: use the amorigin command to get your exact location on the map, take note of the coords. Next amtele <player name> <x> <y> <z> <yaw> yaw = the angle you are facing. _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |

I think [yaw] is the direction the player is facing, so you can use 90 or 180 (or another direction) there. Not really sure, check the documentation ![]() |

You can (when you're logged in as an admin of course ![]() |

that is for mauls own server, and you have to be an admin or have rcon. I won't work on JA servers since on JAKs and up have admin rights. Only JATs and up can teleport. _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side ![]() |

In the academy.cfg you set the password = he finds it in the academy.cfg, or someone with rcon can set it using g_mAdminPassword (not sure if it's the right command). ![]() You'll have to use /amlogin to login as an admin, or /jklogin for subadmins. |

i don't get it.. How can someone set up a dedicated srvr, AND NOT BE THE ADMIN! I know he has to re-enter JK2 to get into his own srvr, but isn't it crazy? Any how does someone become an admin in a srvr??? Where does he find the password? ![]() _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

For hosting a non-dedicated server he needs to go to the JKII menu every time, and I don't think you can save settings you made there. You could try and find the settings you need in the jk2mpconfig.cfg, but I doubt if it stores server settings there as well ![]() |

Okay new question. He wants to host non-dedicated now.. and all of the setting, cvars and everything reset to default every time he hosts again. Any ideas? _______________ Follow the virtues of your heart |

Doh, I thought you meant login as a JAT.... to login using rcon you need to type /rconpass <passwoord>, that goes for every type of server. |
Shao - Student ![]() |
Okay, what if the server is not dedicated? How would the host set an rcon or admin password? _______________ Follow the virtues of your heart |

Using JAmod? Then you just need to login (/amlogin <pass> ) using the password your friend can set in the academy.cfg. This comment was edited by Jacen Aratan on Jun 07 2003 08:36am. |
