i felt the warm sunlight on my face i craked one eye open glared at the sun and groaned i turned over and was touched by somthing cold and wet i looked up into the sad brown eyes of tess my black lab "all right all right i'm up" i said i got up and fed tess and let her out i got dressed i ate eggs i let tess back in and went for a hike it was getting to be about noone when i started back i was passing Red Ridge when i herd the eeri almost human scream i felt the sharp claws riping my back and fell forward the wait of the couger pushing me down i fell with a thud the air knocked from my chest i greabed my knife and drove it into the cougers side it lept back i scrambled up and faced the cat it lept at me i dodged i neded to think the cat was larger than normal and he had killed people before i knew he could clime and swim so those were out of the question _______________ <Shut up you gutless weasel.> -Rachel "a day may come when the courage of men fails, but it is not this day, this day we fight" This post was edited by Arina on Jun 09 2003 05:00pm. |

(( ok lets try this again. I'm sorry but I could easily rip your story appart as it has so many holes in the plot, it's beginning to resemble swiss cheese. Instead of ripping it appart, I'll show you how it should look. here is your first paragraph of it)) i felt the warm sunlight on my face i craked one eye open glared at the sun and groaned i turned over and was touched by somthing cold and wet i looked up into the sad brown eyes of tess my black lab "all right all right i'm up" i said i got up and fed tess and let her out i got dressed i ate eggs i let tess back in and went for a hike (( ok..now this is how it should kinda look)) I awokened to the warm sunlight caressing my face. Opening one eye slightly the sun seemed to burn into my vision obscuring everything and my only saviour was to close them again, but not for long as I felt something cold and wet press against my cheek. Sitting up I gaze into the sad brown eyes of my labrador, Tess. "Alright alright", I replied to the dogs unspoken insistance. Pulling on a light blue robe, I let Tess out the back door, and headed into the kitchen. Quickly cooking up a small breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast, I sat reading the paper while I ate. The usual stories of pain, triumpth and loss flowing over each page. Finishing the last peice of toast and folding up the paper, I headed back into the kitchen to clean up and then to the bathroom to quickly shower and get dressed. On my way to the front door, I could hear Tess already scratching the door to get back in. Stepping back and opening the door, so as not to be tripped over as the large dog trotted in. "I'll be back soon Tess. I'm just going for a quick hike. Take care of the house for me will you?". And with a final smile and wave, I closed the door and started at a brisk pace down the forest path. (( also on a side note. He lets you know when it's ok to breathe when reading things like newspapers, or magazines, or online posts to a online forum. Now we already know your familiar with the "!" Exclamation point, and the "Caps lock" on your keyboard, and we want to discourage the over use of these, as much as possible. Now then boys and girls? What are the two characters missing from the recent posts we've heard lately? Thaaaats right,Mr. Transition, and Mr. Cohesion. Mr. Transition links the scenes together in a bio, and Mr. Cohesion is the thing that holds the plot together, so it doesn't look like terribly thrown together segmants of crap. See if you can find them in the current posts boys and girls? Can you? No? That's because they arn't there!! The posts we've seen do NOT have Mr. Transition, and Mr. Cohesion.
