I saw Rocky posting his nation on the IRC, so i decided to set up a JA section of NationStates. Create your own country @ http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/create.cgi, then on your main page click your "region", then find the region "The Jedi Academy" and use j3di@c@d3my as the password! _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |

The Republic of House Solitude is a huge, economically powerful nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 281 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 41%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology. Military spending is on the increase, House Solitude has become a gigantic dustbowl filled with tourists and mean desperados., the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, and ethnic minorities are often refused admission to some of the nation's best schools. Crime is moderate. House Solitude's national animal is the Dragon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the C-bill. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 9 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night. The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Social Welfare, and Religion & Spirituality. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 1%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries. Voting is compulsory and it is illegal to make racist remarks in public. Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons.
