I can't believe nobody has started a thread about the movie yet. So here is a thread about the movie. What did you think? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Please practice your freedom of speech here. Personally I thought it was an excellent film. Ang Lee is an amazing director and ILM did a great job with the visuals. I kept hearing people say that they didn’t like the way the hulk looked before the movie came out. I thought he looked great. Maybe even as good as Gollum (don’t crucify me LOTR fanatics.) _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

That is true crazy_hacker. Lou Ferrigno and Stan Lee walk out of the labs together as security guards. Cute but a little too in your face I thought. Lou Ferrigno: “Actor” who played Hulk on TV Stan Lee: Everyone knows Stan. LOL @ Ash. I agree with Ash about Nick Nolte. I get annoyed with most actors that portray comic book villains. Ever since Jack Nicholson got good reviews as the Joker they all tend to over do their characters. In Nick’s case that meant talking so low and “acting” so drunk that I could barley hear him above the screaming kids in the theater. That was another thing that bothered me about seeing the movie, all the frigin parents that brought little kids to it. It was so noisy that I couldn’t hear a lot of the dialogue the first time I saw the movie. Fortunately they had the soundtrack louder the second time I saw it. My coworker said this morning that he didn’t like the movie and that he didn’t think it was appropriate for his 6-year old son. I told him that’s why they rate movies. If he had taken the time to look at the rating he would have noticed that it was PG-13. That doesn’t mean it will be more enjoyable for kids under 13 as long as their parents are sitting next to them. I was glad there was a lot of dialogue. If you think about it most superhero movies start slow to establish some type of story. Then the sequels start with action (example: X2.) _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

i enjoyed the movie more then i thought i was. the movie had a few problems though. one big problem is that the story almost had nothing to do with the comics. but what ever, im not really a huge hulk comic fanatic anyway. another problem was the wacky camera angles. the whole comic book angle thing was cool at first but then they used it way too much. also i felt as if the hulk creature was not nearly on screen enough. i wanted to see more smashing and things blowing up. and my last problem was the realization that Nick Nolte didnt have to stretch his acting abilities to act like a drunk, crazy, wack job. i bet the make up crew didnt even fix up his hair. he looks like that already. so any way, yeah i enjoyed the movie. _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |
