mIRC isn't letting me conn. I've got all my options ironed out: irc.holonet.org, port 6667. I wonder if there's some setting on my comp I screwed up and don't know about. Lend a hand if you can!

If you messed with any of the firewall settings, you're screwed. That is what happened to me one time :/

I got this from www.mirc.com.

Connection refused (Max connections at this time)
Closing Link (No more connections)

This means the maximum amount of connections in your class (Y-Line) has been reached. There are too many people from the same company or Internet Provider on this IRC server already. Try another server on the same IRC network, preferably a more nearby server, one in your own country or one provided by your own Internet Provider. If you think you should have access to this server contact the administrator of the server and request for a larger amount of allowed connections for the domain that you are trying to connect from.

Yeah my bad with the /connect <-> /server mismatch. :) We don't own those IRC servers, and as far as we know there shouldnt be any firewall in place to keep you from connecting. Can you connect to other IRC networks? Try an EFNet server:

/server irc.prison.net

Egh. Still nothing. Would some sort of firewall here at the academy prevent me from connecting?

I think the command is:
/server irc.de.quakenet.org

You can find more servers here: http://staff.quakenet.org/servers.phtml

Try connecting to the quakenet servers manually. In your mIRC status window type "/connect <server address>", minus the <>'s. You can get a server list from the Quakenet homepage.

It says this when I go to Quakenet:

Unable to connect (connection refused)

And this when I go to random US Dalnet:

Unable to connect (Network is unreachable)

Xanatos, I don't think it's your fault. There is channelsetting that limits the number of people that can join. If it's set to +l10 (limit to 10), and you try to join as 11th member, you won't get in because it's full.

Edit: Gunrow, what exactly is the error that mIRC gives?

Connection trouble: Try seeing if the server you're connecting to is set for 'random server', if not, this could be the problem.

Unable to join channel (because it's "full";): Reconnect, that will let you in.

Yeah i'm experiencing some trouble as well. Usually whenever i join i get in straight away, but for some reason it wont let me in no matter what time of day it is. It just says:
'#jedi-academy unable to join channel (channel is full)

And like i said, it says that no matter what time of day it is. Any ideas on how i can get on?
