Can anyone who plays on a mac tell me whether the mac version can be a dedicated server (i.e., no local player)? I have a mac whose graphics are very slow, but it would be perfect for hosting a server.

AFAIK they haven't released source for the dedicated server. *shrug* Try running the linux dedicated server and see what happens. :)

There is a BSD compatability layer, but Macs use PowerPC CPUs. The server source code isn't available to recompile, is it?

If youre running OS X you may be able to run the Linux dedicated server. Just like in BSD you may have to run "brandelf -t Linux jk2ded" to get it to work. I nkow that does it for FreeBSD, but I'm not sure about OS X. Is there a Linux compatibility layer for OS X?
