I remember Battle of the Planets!! With the birdy kinda super heroes, right? I don't remember much of it except a few images and my toys of it  , but it's actually been brought back in comic book form! Along with a bunch of other titles: GIJoe, Thundercats, Transformers, and I think a few others  Kick ass! _______________ "It's because I love you. I don't know if it would be considered Anime, but back in the 70s-80s there was a show called "Battle of the Planets" that had a very "Anime" look to it. It was my fave cartoon as a kid. I used to play it on the playground at school. This is in NO order Inuyasha Cowboy Bebop (and the movie) Trigun Yu Yu Hakusho Princess Mononoke Vampire Hunter: D Mobile Suit Gundam: The 8th MS Team Rurouni Kenshin (ALL OF IT) Fooley Cooley/FLCL/Furi Kuri (Same thing )Outlaw Star X (I want to see the series! )Record of Lodoss War Akira (Though I haven't seen it all. )Escaflowne (The movie...I haven't seen the series ).hack//SIGN, .hack//DUSK, and .hack/LIMINALITY Neon Genesis Evangelion (odd, but the fact remains that it IS good) Love Hina (Haven't seen very much, but it's amusing) GetBackers Gundam Seed More will be added once I remember more. Yes, I've watched that much anime...AND MORE! Anime addict, here... Poor DJ. Pffft bad ending for evangelion, its only bad because lots of people did not understand the ending. Personally I loved the ending (both of the endings). Its just a matter of understanding them. |

Maybe I missed it when someone else said it, but if not: Why hasn't anyone mentioned GTO? I think Great Teacher Onizuka is a REALLY good anime series, granted there's no giant robots, sword-fighting, or super powers, it's truly nifty (besides it has japanese school girls, another hallmark of anime ) Another good one is Rurouni Kenshin, ESPECIALLY the 4 part OVA series. And one that's pretty cool (though not on the scale of coolness to be one of the best anime) is Flame of Recca. It has ninjas. Lots of them. Anyway, just thought I'd give those three a shout out before citing my choice of the options. I have to go with Akira, not necessarily because it was a better anime, but because it was so revolutionary in the world of anime. Evangelion is definitely noteworthy though. And that's all I can say because I haven't seen enough of the other three to say whether I liked them more or not. Oh, one more thing: What about Escaflowne? Fushigi Yugi? Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040? And if anyone's seen this new one Spriggan, you have to admit it's on par with the other top animes. k. That's all.... For now. _______________ "It's because I love you.
