(Also posted on the JASE forums) Has anyone else ever put lightsabers in some of their other favorite movies? I once with the Princess Bride I took some stills of the sword fight, picked one, and gave them lightsaber blades. And my Avatar is a picture of Neo from the Matrix Revolutions trailer with a lightsaber blade across it giving it the illusion that he is holding a lightsaber. I once thought of taking Lockhart from the Harry Potter (don't kill me) movie and giving him a saber instead of a wand. Maybe some pics from Lord of the Rings would do. If you've done something similar post it here! _______________ The Jedi formally known as Ranja. ---------------------- "I can list among my experience and skills: leadership, extensive travel, logistical organization, intimate understanding of firearms, and a knowledge of security measures at numerous banks." - Jesse James |

I wanna turn my goalie stick into a light sabre! I played around with it a couple of times, but it just didn't turn out right. _______________ Midbie Council Member #2 - Profile ID 2073 | Member of B@rtM@ulS@ar | Owner of Monty's 2000th comment & D@RtHM@UL's 8100th comment | Former Padawan of SilkMonkey & Arcuss JA Goaltender & NHL Fan | Fellow Rush fan to Axion|Plo Koon is my oldest JA friend Post your RL pics HERE! | Post you JK2/JK3 screenies HERE! |

Depends on the Art program. I use Paint Shop Pro. Take the line tool, and set it at a decent size for a core. make sure create as vector is checked. Draw the white line for the core. Set the new layer that the line is on to lighten. Duplicate it, and convert the original layer to a raster layer. On your duplicate layer expand it and right click on line, go to properties and set the forecolor to your favorite lightsaber color. Convert that layer to a raster layer as well and duplicate it twice. Go back to your first core layer and give it a gaussian blur of 1. Then for the glow layer above that give it a gaussian blur at the intesity equal to that of the core's width. The next layer do a gaussian blur at twice that of the core's width, and for the third layer do twice that of the second. It looks pretty good when your done. _______________ The Jedi formally known as Ranja. ---------------------- "I can list among my experience and skills: leadership, extensive travel, logistical organization, intimate understanding of firearms, and a knowledge of security measures at numerous banks." - Jesse James |
