He definitely deserves a shot. I mean at how crappy a job some of the people who have been politicians their whole lives do. And they've been studying it and learning it for a long time. And he's made one good point. He's already rich so special interest groups can't buy him off. He's actually considered doing this several times. The real funny stuff though is the other people in the running. We once had a famous comedian who ran for parlament (or congress, senate, whatever, the government) for a joke. His campaign promises included "it wont rain during the summer" and "you will always have the wind in your back when you bike", and the likes. And he got in. But he did a damn good job when he was in there. The point of this? Even though they're in showbusiness doesn't mean they're not qualified for the job. |

Uh, first of all, he's running for governor, not senate. Secondly, the man has a degree in economics and has one of the most sensible fiscal plans of any of the candidates. He's been running a successful real estate empire for many years and knows how to balance a budget. This is a guy who fled a socialist basket-case of a country in search of a better way and knows a thing or two about how the market works.
