Roan - Sits on the Fence (Ouch) gets of the fence looks around for a more comfortable fence Don't agree with Ashley the Films are meant for all ages. I saw SW EPIV when I was 6 (looks at fingers i'm too old for this) Lucas is trying to cover all areas, by having a bit of slapstick comedy, not my cup of tea seemed big with the kids. What hurt me was the lameness of the love scene it AOTC. ok im not some HUGE starwars fan, but i love the movies, and when i saw some stupid creature with a jamaican accent, i was totally revolted from the episode one. there was a big ting on how it was racist wasnt there? and well his character is pointless, it was only to make kids laugh, but star wars isnt a movie for 5 year olds, or else it wuldnt show someone sliced in half with a saber. my opinion will always stay the same, they did the right thing by only giving jar jar a small part in the ep2. Why I don't like Jar Jar is simple. If you look at the prequels and the original trilogies you can see similarities in characters. Qui Gon and Obi-Wan are really a mix and combination of Han Solo and Ben. Anakin is similar to Luke albeit having even worse lines than mark hamill. Amidala is similar to Leia. They are meant to fill a certain type of character that come in these movies almost stereotype characters. Now where does Jar Jar fit in? He's a clown, stuck in there for the sole purpose of comic relief. And its not even broad comic relief, its childish comic relief. There was none of this type of "humor" in the original trilogy. The humor in that came from Han and things the other characters said and did. You say he helped the Jedi out a lot. I say why in the hell didn't Lucas create a better character to help out the jedi? Why did he have to be a bumbling stupid clown? I didn't see Chewbacca stepping in feces ever, did you? _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill.
