This is just a thread I thought up when I heard of one of out members is going under the knife. I myself will be going into surgery in the future sometime to get my shoulder fixed. I have a Recurrent Dislocating Shoulder and it's gotten to the point where something needs to be done. here is a link of what would need to be done CAUTION SOME PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC. Well when i was about 7 I snaped my ligament in my right hand between my thumb and my index finger playing rugby but i have had no problem with it since. In feb this yr is was doing the annual musical rehearsals in school, the directer asked me to do a cartwheel on stage while other ppl do forward rolls around me and when i was completly upside down on my hands, someone did a rol behind me and did it too fast and caught his feet on my arm, causing both my elbow and shoulder to dislocate and as I crumbled to the floor my arm was completely twisted I was nearly sick! I was in immense pain, I only moved my arm a bit and my elbow and shoulder just popped back into place. I was sent to hospital the next hour and I had X-rays and the doctor said he had never seen this before, because the dislocation had caused no damage at all, nothing was out of place or damaged and I did the show the next week! Fine! I also have a syst on the side of my head just at the top right of my eye. I had the opportunity to have it removed but there was a chance that the nerve running over it could be damaged and would cause the loss of control of the right hand side of my brow. So I didn't risk it because it doesn't hurt or isn't getting any bigger so it's ok at the moment. Bubu...your story also reminded me of something but I forgot it...and just remembered it again. Billy's story reminded me of something that happened about 3 weeks ago. I was driving with my cousin, going a little over the speed limit (about 110 or so) and the car slid on the wet pavement and sent us off the road. The car rolled over once in the air, and another half roll when we landed, leaving us upside down. I was wearing my seatbelt, and the only injuries I had were from punching out the rest of my window to climb out. My cousin hit his head on the rearview mirror and slid into me when we rolled but that was it. I broke my nose when i was 3 or something, i broke my ankle at 5 or so, i broke my elbow at 8...Hmmm some kind of pattern in it maybe? At 10, i fell through a glass window, head first. One of the veigns (spelling?) in my head snapped, so the blood gushed out, kinda. I was moved to the nearest hospital asap, where i got surgery. I still have a 12 cm scar on the side of my head, although you wont see it very well if you dont look for it. (thanks doc) 2 years ago, i fell and one of my knee muscles got torn (dont try it at home, doesnt feel good). I was kinda lucky, and didnt need any surgery for it, but lately im having a bit of problems with it again, so i might need surgery after all.. Hmmm i think that covered all... Soon to be updated  |

I broke my arm in a fight with someone who had a baseball bat. It was the coolest fight ever. I'm also currently doing two-to-three hours of fitness/endurance/strength training every day. No more computer for me; not enough time. _______________ © |

In the past I've fractured my right shin (age 5, skiijng acident), dislocated my fifth metacarple in the right hand (age was 10ish, basketball/punishing kid), broke the thumb on that hand (age 15, another skiing accident, this time off a ski jump), fractured 2 vertibre (age 16, diving into water from too high), broke both bones completely in half in right forearm (age 16, wrestling team/fall). I currently have mono and so I've been recovering all week. Fun for me eh? _______________ I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. Apparently due to some weird 'metabolic imbalance', with the lipids(fat molecules)in my blood, has given arise to very early arthritis in my 2 left-most fingers on my left hand... Which is a right bugger when trying to use WASD keys, and performing actions in JK2 that needs those fingers. It starts off a little stiff, then they seem to warm up a bit, then again, after maybe an hour playing, they start to throb like toothace in my joints!!! F*&$ing nightmare! LOL! On top of that, I get motion sickness if I play the game too long! I should be on disability benefit I reckon!! Well, I hit the ground and they stared at me. They just stood there for a few moments...waiting...just seeing what I would do. Suddenly, they started laughing at me and ran the other way, but one stayed behind. He smiled at me, then opened his mouth to show six rows of razor-sharp teeth. He ran off with the rest, leaving me lying on the ground. 'Til this day, I still wonder why the hockey player hadn't hit the puck into a tree. _______________ Wanna know what my name means? LOL @ Bubu! I've been lucky. The worst injury I've had was spraining my shoulder twice. Once falling off my bike as a kid and once in a SERIOUS car accident like 10 years ago. I'm very lucky to be alive and able to walk. Basically, I was in my buddie's Corvette doing 100+ MPH (he was driving) and we hit a telephone pole and 2 parked cars. The EMT that showed up on the scene said that if we would have hit the telephone pole like 2 inches closer to the door and the car would have been sliced in half and we'd both be dead on impact. And to top it off, neither of us were wearing seatbelts. My buddie broke his jaw on the half-opened window. hmm...well I havn't lost teeth but I had two of my inscissors that never grew. those are the two teeth next to your two front teeth. and after 7 years of dental work I got bridges done so it appears like I have a full mouth of teeth where two are fake _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. geez... you lucky yiya well, me myself doesnt have too many injuries yet. i could tell you about 4 teeth beeing pulled out, but that propably wont interest you i know "nice" stories tough. one of my friends climbed on a tree. in afrika. he was there with his dad, he had some business to do there. well, he fell down. broke his arm, but no just broke it. it splittered and came out the arm! i mean, you could see the bone coming out of the ellbow. yikes. now, where the hell to go in AFRIKA? they wanted to amputate the arm! so, they sat in the next plane and flew to germany. with a broken arm that looked out the ellbow. poor mate. when they reached the hospital, the first had to break the arm again, because it had started to grow wrong already. they had to open his whole underarm. luckily he can use it today again. he has a scar running from his hand down to the ellbow. scary. oh and yes, my mom worked at a hospital when she studied. they had to deal somebody who "fell" into a chainsaw. with his head. and still ived. nobody knows if he wasnt PUSHEd into the chainsaw. he did not survive of couse. but damn, that must have been a mess... she said she saw the brain... err... coming out. but she doesnt want to talk about it. understandable. sorry for my english btw, i'm too lazy to write correct sentences right now _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |

well i got a LONG list of injuries(damn martial arts)but the most serious 1's are getting kicked by a horse almost causeing myself to be dead from the neck down but thankfuly im still ok just have a few metal plates in my back Dr says i shouldnt do nething to physical but im to ignorant for it so i still continue mu martial arts training...my 2nd most BIG injury was getim hit by a car(in new york they dont care)i was crossing he street when this frikin taxi cab comes from no where and hits me causeing my left arm to break dislocate my left shoulder and break my left left witha few cuts and bruses(this is b4 my horse incident btw)in ny taxi's believe laws dont apply to them so while i was half dead on the ground the driver comes out and has the NERV to say "what were u doing cant do that" that sec sum1 came and BEAT the crap out of the taxi driver 1st punch that was thrown i blacked out lol but thankfully im still here today(i must have GOOD regen skills cause thats just werid not bein cripple)i gues thast the end of my injurys _______________ Sister to Smily,Axion,and CT Friend to ALL...
