Ok... i been developing an MP map... i had been advised to use the /devmap command on the MP console to test the map... However, when i type /devmap <map-name>, it says it won't find the .bsp (even though it's really there)... why won't it work? i'm using GtkRadiant v1.2.8 for JK2... :S maybe there's a prob wit the bsp process... Since i'm still makin the map, i'm using FulVis (nolight) or FastVis (nolight)... any suggestions here would be gr34t PS. Any suggestions for a value for "scale" and "light" for light_entities? (this is outta subject though)... What is max scale? I want to put the least possible number of lights... I mean, what's the best key values for a wide-radiused light entity??? haven't heard from ya Kal for some time, but i hope ya read this!!! _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

You should ask Derlict Crusader about this one...He showed me a few things when I was testing jedi_academy_v4. They're like developers tools... _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |

i know why ur map is TOO bright... u use FulVis (nolight) bsp commands... that will apply the same light value to ALL brush surfaces so it will seem light... what u gotta do is add light entities all over the map and then use the FulVis commands (just FulVis, wit no parentheses)... _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

Well for the devmap i believe you need it in a pk3, once it's in a pk3 make sure your not devmaping the pk3 file name, but typing /devmap and the actual map name. Otherwise, of course it won't find it. As for light entities you have to try different values and test them out to see whats best for you. One great value for someone else map may rock, but then suck for you. (because of different map size and such). Hope this helps _______________ -Has no family, nor "friends" -What is this "friends" you speak of? No not the meaning of it do I |
