Ok, my concern: Has anyone ended up going on a date with an ex that you haven't seen for 3 years, who was engaged and then disengaged? Advice? It's a bit more awkward going out with someone who already knows you. I'm real happy about it, but it just seems awkward. And what about all those who knew her, and then had a bunch of bad things they still say about her, after we broke up? How do you say, "Hey, remember [Jill], I know you hate her, but she's back now!" So, the crazy-skilled Dr. Fizz might be handy now. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading as slogans always are. Yeah, it does seem like it is just revisiting a friendship. she wanted to keep a friendship going, but got engaged and was forbidden to do a lot of stuff by her fiance. But then, they recently went separate ways (the guys doing), and all that being forbidden to talk to people left her: alone. So luckily I run into her and revisit the friendship, and we're planning to hang out a lot (could be that we have identical interests, birthdays on the same day, dated each other, have no real secrets, and know each other in the sack) I wouldn't be surprised if she winds up as a member here and becomes a Padawan of mine. But I just think that having an ex back, after so much bad-mouthing of her by friends and relatives (and she is not the same, not after 3 years) would be difficult. Everyone will think of her as her old self, and still dislike her. Passing judgement like that isn't right. Well, this is just a sounding board. And people have done it before. Dr FiZZ can indeed help you out with this one. I came in a similar situation, but the "spit" was only 1 year. luckily that wasnt all too serious, so I didnt have to think of all that stuff.
