Thats right, for those of you on IRC today heard that I might be quitting JK2. Well, its a long story, but I wont be completely quitting JK2, I will just have -alot- less time for it. Well, here I go with my story as to why this is happening. So, its August 21st and I'm going to school to pick up my schedule. I get a pretty good schedule. I was pretty pissed because I didnt make Jazz Band, and later I figured out all the Jazz band kids schedules are almost the same (all of my friends and my girlfriend are in Jazz band). So I go home, compare schedules with my friends, etc. Turns out I have one class with my girlfriend, which is band (regular band). So school starts, first day (sept 2nd). Im goin to school. 1st hour looks pretty good, I have civics and I sit by a few friends. The teacher is cool. 2nd hour, Weight Training. Now if you dont know this by now, i am a big wuss. I only signed up for this because Melissa (my gf) did. Well shes not in this class. So, that kinda sucks. 3rd hour, physical science. Pretty good, lots of friends in this class, nice teacher. 4th hour, English. This class just plain sucks. All dumb kids, no friends. Melissa signed up for honors english and got in. So I am going to ask my teacher if I do good if I can be in honors english. (I am very good in school, just really lazy, which I am trying not to be this year, and which is why I will have less time). Now if I make it into honors english, I will have alot more homework. There goes some time. Now 5th hour sucks, 6th hour is okay, then we have 7th hour, band. Yay! pretty fun class, good instructor, and Melissa is in it. Next hour, algebra 2. Pretty good class, and Melissas honor english class is next door so we walk with eachother to class (band and the classes are on opposite sides of the school). So, now your still probably "wtf, you still have plenty of time". Now, I really want to make Jazz band, and im so serious about it im dropping my guitar lessons and going for drum lessons instead. I'm going to ask my band instructer if theres any way i can be in band, even if i have to play aux. percussion. 2nd semester (january) we get new schedules, and Jazz Band tryouts again. Now, this is the tricky part. If I make it, Melissa has to make it also. If I fail, and Melissa is still in it, we can only hope for better schedules. If i make it and melissa fails, then I laugh. jk. Then were screwed again. Now, probably if they can switch me to honors english, it will be now or 2nd semester. So, thats why i said i will have less time now or in january. wow my grammar is getting poor, too lazy to capitalize. now, this wont happen if we break up (which isnt very likely) but right now our relationship is going nowhere because of her parents. They are the devils henchmen. I hate them. They try to keep her away from me as much as possible. But anyway, I have to do this to keep our relationship alive, instead of seeing eachother maybe 50 minutes a day max. I really love her, and I know most of you are going to say "but jello your only 14 you havent experienced true love". I ask you to define true love. Anyway, thats my story on why I might leave. So gimmie your prayers, wish me good luck, whatever you do Im sure you will all agree when i say RL (girls) > JA (Excluding Jacen  ). Thats all i gotta say.-Jello VERY IMPORTANT EDIT: Melissa also has 7 out of 8 classes with a guy who is her 'friend'. Now personally, I just HATE this guy. Shes liked him before, and hes liked her before, and just dumped someone. dude... just one thing i want to say. relax! if you're this busy now (or think you are) imagine what it will be like in college, or after college! take it easy jello. relax and enjoy life while you can... at 14 you should have plenty of time to play jk2 unless something really really serious is going on. and believe me, from an outside point of view, your "problem" is not a problem i'm not saying this to make fun of you or anything. i'm just trying to help.carry on. _______________ make install -not war |

Aeth...you have a problem with someone wanting to tell people about their problems? If you think of me the same way because of my thread, think otherwise. I wasn't asking for help, simply telling you guys what I'm gonna do. I don't see how someone can be mean to people in a situation like this. You apparently don't think that it's a big deal. Hey, Jello. I believe that true love exists at an early age because I have felt it when I was 12! But that was taken away from me, so I have experienced more than I ever wished for. But the upside to this is that I've been able to help those in similar situations with great success. The other upside is I have found someone that I love even MORE. I never would have thought it possible. Don't lose hope, but don't go crazy...I almost ruined my chance to be with someone I love for the second time because I almost did something crazy. Exar, I said before I cant do anything outside of school because of her parents. But anyway, I have good news. I am damn lazy. I gave up on the honors class thing, I figured I wouldent be able to do all the homework. But I am STILL going to try for Jazz Band, which shouldent change my spare time at all, except for maybe practicing more. Anyway, today sucked. We walk from 7th to 8th hour together but she was late out of band and i didnt have an excuse to be late. Then in band she was flirting with this guy like the whole time like im not watching. Really pissed me off. Im gonna talk to her about it. Anyway, last of all we ALWAYS have a hug at the end of the day and I didnt get my hug! Anyway, Im gonna talk to her soon about this. So, if your too lazy to read that, heres the summary: My time for JK2 will stay the same, maybe a little less. Jello listen man. Seeing your girlfriend 50 mins a day is pretty damn ok. It doesnt sound like much, but christ, there's weekends. Also, if you know she loves you you wouldnt make a problem out of this guys she has all classes with. Jealousy is a bad bad thing. Furthermore, dont take classes you dont really want to take just because you want to see her. Just go and see a movie with her on weekends or something, girls love it when you do that  . Last bu not least: talk to her about it. If you two really love eachother she'll probably help finding a solution and'll make sure you two wont have a fight. Its all just a big gambling game jello, just go for it and see what happens, there's nothing more you can do. RL is much more complicated than JK2.... though not as complicated as women.. Anyway, it would be interesting to do some research on RL and RL stuff.... You can always come back here.... but if u do some damn weird shit in RL, there is no coming back... Go for it man... i just say JA != RL, neither JA > RL nor JA < RL... only JA != RL... they are things that we can't compare... a game community, with a real community... they can't be compared... _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

hmm surely you will be missed around here, but I agree that a PC game isn't the top priority.. If I am to be serious, you should go for school, and try to do something with the spare time you get (c'mon, I don't know much about US schools but they surely can't kill ALL of one's spare time). You shouldn't let your gf make your decisions school-wise either, almost anything might happen that can change the way you see things..(speaking from experience). If you love your gf then it shouldn't be that difficult to see her after school. If not, don't change classes because of her. (and btw, don't listen to me, remember I'm crazy ) So fare well my master, and good luck in the rough RL™. (it can be really bright out there *hides in dark corner*) _______________ -Darkwood- |

I agree with bandit's story, but I won't vote, it's your decision.All I have to say is that I'll miss my master on the servers, but realise JK2 (/3) isn't the most important thing in life.So actually I'm saying that dropping JA isn't a very bad idea. |

As one of the oldest members of the JA and one who wishes he could do his High School days over again... I offer this advice: 1) Enjoy your life. Do what makes you happy and do that which might be unpleasant in the short term, but will bring you happiness in the long term. For example, take the classes you need to take to advance your education not solely to spend a few more moments with your girl. If you two are truely in love, you will have all the time in the world to be together. If you're not, you may just end up scheduling yourself for some classes that you may want out of if you two break up 2 months from now. 2). Realize you are just 14. I'm not trying to talk down to you. Hell, I wish I were 14 again and could do things over. Chances are very slim that you will marry and spend the rest of your life with this girl. Perhaps you will. But simply enjoy the time you have together and enjoy it for what it is. Again, try to put things in perspective and realize your future and future happiness is most important. 3) Your right that JK2 simply isn't that important. It's a game and one of the first things that should be dropped for the more important things in life. You can always play games after taking care of the important things first. The important things should never be held hostage to the trivial things. 4) Best of luck to you. I wish I could give you some advise, but I can't. One thing is that I think the American system is weird (yay for EU schools!), but more importantly, I'm an über failure IRL, any advice from me could lead to your doom. I'll just settle for wishing you good luck, and I hope you find some kind of compromise or whatever so you can still be around in the JA. But do whatever is best for your RL (I advised someone to go for the RL?!  ). And I still say RL < JA. The sad part is that I'm not joking. I slowly begin to hate those threads. No offence, but next one who starts a "I have a big love but something is terribly wrong in my life"-thread will be silenced by me personally if I catch him on the servers. I dont want to joke about your lifes. I in fact appreciate you trust us that much that you post something this personally about you. BUT I cant stand it when you ALL post your tragic story. This is somewhat like the 5th thread with this topic. Dont you understand? Noone will help you. Because noone is ABLE to help you. You have to sort out your problems on yourself. Hard but true. Take your life into your own hands and dont rely on us. If you need SERIOUS help, there are a lot of organisations that can help you, anonym via mail and everything. It's no shame to ask for advice. But dont ask US. Thank you. Now on topic ( ) I wouldnt do that much effort just to go in the same classes. See, your ment to listen and pay attention in class, not... uhm... doing stuff with your girlfriend. Why not just meet her after school? If she really loves/likes you, she just poos on her parents and goes out for lunch with you after school. Find a way to help ur gf in something or save her life (LOL) or whatever... make a plot if u have to... But believe me... focus on school, cuz she won't be there forever... she'll find another guy on day... be sure about it... that's RL... and RL sux... At school, i dont know if u'll be able to move to honors, but try. three years i'm in a damn high school, and in all those three years, I didnt have any class with a girl that i liked. So, my suggestion about school... is to try. If it wont work, then it wont work. what can u do? it has to stay as it is till the next semester. Next up, her parents. i know it would sound stupid, but what u should do is call them and ask them to chat about that subject. Dont let your gf know about it. do it when shes not home. If it will work, they'll see the real jello... dont mention the scanner . If all of the above will work you will be able to play jk2 or as we might say jka. i sympathize with your problem with your gf's parents. when i was in highschool every girl i dated always had annoying ass parents. they all thought i was a trouble maker or something even though i was a huge dork. still, you really shouldnt let these things get to you. if these problems are huge to you now, wait till you get older. i can understand how you cant find time for JK2. i usually only play a game a few times a week and focus all my other time on RL. i remeber feeling swamped in highschool with issues. now though, i actually feel pretty good being able to manage school, work, girls, and games. if you have the desire to do something then just find the time for it. lastly, just enjoy the time you have with your girl. dont make a big fuss about not being able to see her everyday. just take life with stide. _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |

meh girls are overrated, focus on school. Worry about girls when you have alot of free time  Like for my career for example (Working in the Gaming Industry) Most game developers work 60-80 hrs a week, which means no time @ home with there girl, and most developers if they get married end in divorce. so uhh yeah, but do whatever you wish its your life. *note no RL said* EDIT: Yes I am an Edit Whore. Took out jk2 thing hehe, was jokin with that but wasnt sure if ppl would get it :p While public school in the US is the biggest joke ever, thats my opinion atleast, try to get as much as you can out of it. Who cares if none of your friends are in your class. It was like that for me in HS, I did well. Got through HS came out alive and in college YAY. Well heres the story with her parents. On June something (20th or so) we had a parade for school. After the parade we both had to go back to the school, where we had a really long hug which was really good. Unfortunatly her sister had come in looking for her, and saw us . She got in major trouble for that, and couldent get on AIM for a week (Which is how we communicated in the summer). So then, she was caught online within that week, and her parents deleted AIM off her computer. Luckily, shes not half dumb, and got on AIM express when her parents got home . Anyway, so she came over to my house a day when my parents werent home, and she called her mom and her mom figured out and thats when she got in deeeep shit. She isnt supposed to talk to me or anything according to her parents. Which is total bullshit. I mean, I've never met her parents, and they already think I am a bad person, which is also bs. I want to meet them so I can prove them wrong and pull their heads out of their asses (not literally, fools ). So, thats the deal with that. Oh, and about decking the guy in the face Kueller. He's like a macho man in football and swimming and could probably kick my ass, but dont worry, I've thought about it. Guns are just way cooler . Now all of those saying "No jello dont do it", are you saying that as good advice and you really mean it, or because you want me to stay in the JA? Monty: Good choices for me would be keeping our relationship going. I'm thinking about my future in this too. Plus I just want to get my schedule changed because English and Study hall I have no friends and all dumb kids in, and its really rediculas. Mostly, I want to have a gf before I graduate because I am too lazy to be dating after I graduate Oh also, for those of you that remember the thread where I asked for help with "Number 1" and "Number 2", she is "number 2"...
