Ok, Takoa posted this in the Crazy section a while back...months ago, actually. He was talking about the meaning of life. Don't you think that's an interesting subject? :D People were arguing about it, which Flamori may remember. :D I just wanted to ignite this subject once again, because I would like to share MY opinions as well. ...so...WHAT'S THE MEANING OF LIFE?! MUAHAHAHAHA!

I'm here to send you to the afterlife, but I can't gurantee I'll be stable enough to win a fight. :D

The meaning of life is to build character.

Everything else is just conversation.

The meaning of life...

I think there isn't a meaning of life. We are making our own meanings of life because we can not just accept we are here for nothing.

That's quite logical because we always have a purpose, we never do something without a reason.

So as we always have our reasons, it's hard to accept the fact that for some things there are no real reasons...

Maybe we live for a reason...maybe we don't...

So far, the best explaination for the meaning of life is from the movie Dogma.

Alanis Morisette plays God in the movie, and one of the characters asks, "What is the meaning of life?"

God just replies by honking her nose.

I think the meaning of life is this:
Life is too long, have fun!

No, don't get me wrong. I think the Bible has alot to do with this subject. It should be Biblical if people believe. I was just thinking that discussing denominations of the church and to which one people belong could be concidered off the subject though. :D

OK EVERYONE! LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SUBJECT AT HAND! THE NON-BIBLICAL MEANING OF LIFE! WHAT IS IT?! :D

I'm surprised on how fast you responded to my post. :D It's a question that I wouldn't mind answering, but I will have to either respond by e-mail or personally on a site to discuss this further for it's getting off the topic at hand. It will be great to chat with you my friend. Take care. :D

 Wow, Koyi. You really know your stuff. :D And I admire the fact that you put that much on this site...I fear that someone will have to complain about it, but they can be ignored. I have one question, though. It's a question you don't have to answer if you don't want to.

Are you Catholic, Baptist, or something else? I'm just curious. It makes no real difference to me. :D I'm Catholic, by the way, and proud of it! :D

I wouldn't mind chatting with you about the subject if you really want to. :) Sometimes I need someone to talk to about things like this, methinks.

Thanks for the input! :D

I believe that the whole meaning of life is to worship the God of Heaven. Creater of the heavens and the Earth.

*Koyi looks up into the sky in deep thought*

I wonder, I just wonder what would or is going to happen when Jesus Christ comes again. I wonder how people would or will react. Think about it. Emagine that God incarnate was here amongst us. Here with us either in USA or Canada or Mexico or South America or Europe or Asia or Africa or Australia or in the artic or Antartica. Think of the news coverage and the swarms of people trying to meet The Most High. My question is would anyone really want to meet God? If God was here with us, would you take the time out of your busy lives to see if he really existed?

*Koyi looks out to all*

I would just like to share some scripture with everyone. You don't have to take it as I want you to believe or think you must. No comments are necessary and you may ignore it at your own free will.

*Koyi smiles a warm smile*

Okay, if we turn to John 1:1-5 we read: 1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2) The same was in the beginning with God. 3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

In Deuteronomy 8:1-3 we read: 1) All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. 2) And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 3) And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

In Revelation 19:11-13 we read: 11) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

In Romans 10:17 we read: 17)So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There are so many other verses which I would love to share, but this is enough to get my point across. God tells us in the Bible that he relates with the Word of God or the Bible. God is telling us that he is the Bible to a certain degree of truth. It would depend on how much man interjected their own thoughts and words into it before printing it. The Word of God is God. We all can be with God and spend time with God everyday if we would just pick up His Word and read it. Salvation and Faith, (which can be shown to be the Lord Jesus), comes from the reading or hearing of His Word.

*Koyi smacks his head*

Oh, just the meaning of life!!!! Doh. :D I believe that everything was created by God for God. We were created to give God our thanks and praise. To love and to worship him. The only problem is that none of us are able to do that. That's a whole diffent set of scriptures in itself which I will not be posting at this time. God saves, not man or our beliefs. If you want to discuss this with me, I'll be more then happy to talk with anyone with the scriptures being the foundation of truth. Take care everyone and I hope and pray that everyone gets something out of this post. God Bless. :D

That's sadly not the view of a lot of other ppl. In some country's and by some ppl you are still rated as a person by your possessions. Maybe there si a time that will finally be over and everybody has same amount of wealth.

LOL. RIGHT...what he removed from that is the one thing I WOULDN'T remove. I am not a very possessive person. I would be perfectly happy having no money at all...which is the case at the moment. LOL. But I honestly don't care about cars, movies, or anything that's not required. :D Sure, there are things that I would like, but it doesn't really matter. Life has so much more in store for me than possessions. :D

Even if you don't believe in God, it's good to believe in SOMETHING. :D I'm not the kind of guy to attempt to convert people to my religion (I think it's just wrong to force that on someone), but I do think that it is a neccessity to believe in something. Once you do, you have less questions about life. I'm quite comfortable believing what I believe, so I'm sticking to it. :D

If I sense any religious hostility in this thread, I'll be forced to do something about it. I don't want to start a conflict amongst members that have been friends for a long time. :( That would be very bad to say the least.

Yeah, I'm not saying that something else is not true. I say what I believe, there are good points and bad points in all religions. But the feeling it gives you to belive in something is really powerfull. And it's nice to be able to know that there's someone up there, caring for you and sometimes helping out. At least, I think that's a property in believing in something that would interest me.

I don't believe in a God. More a sort of universal powerthat is non-sentient. We are directed and chosen to follow our paths and to learn what we have to learn in this life. Every time you finish your life your soul has learnt something, and every new life you near completion. I don't know what happens if you are complete. Maybe you'l be one with the universe, maybe you start all over again. Because of this I don't believe in suicide and it's not the way to solve things, because you are put in your life for a reason and you can complete your path if you do something different or think/act in another way. I think it's beautifull filosofy, and I like it very much and fully believe in it. Since I have witnessed the effects of this universal power firsthand. BTW every human being can learn to get into contact with that power and use it in a very special way, but you gotta have some training in it. I know this sounds a lot like the Force, and you can compare with it a bit. But it's powers are very different and far less abvious than the force. I wonder what you think of this one :)

More wise words of wisdom from the wise Dr. Fizz, who always proves that his wise words of wisdom are...well...WISE. :D I don't dwell on the question of life because I do believe in God and I know that, if I live my life the way I should, the question will be answered in Heaven. :D Doesn't that sound like a plan? Sounds good to me. :D

I keep it with an austrian stand-up comedian... he thinks, finding out what the meaning of life is, may be like finishing a computer game.
maybe if we find out a huge "GAME OVER" sign appears and then everything dissappears.

so quite frankly, I dont want it to be found :)
