Ok Here's a post with some usefull links. I will keep updating this as needed.

If you don't know about this site and you are a Windows User you need to know about this. This site will patch your os with any of the bugs in any Windows OS.

A good piece of software to have. This will scan your computer for any kind of spyware that any freeware or shareware program that you download and install.

*NOTE* Don't have both installed or they will say each other is spyware. I like spybot better.

A good free anti-virus program.. If you don't have a anti-virus I recommend you do.

This site is good for information on ISP's(Internet Service Providers). It alos has a great little toolset for testing your internet connection and the forums are helpful for tweaking your pc to get the most out of your connection.

Do you have windows XP or 2000 and a great video card? Seem to be stuck at about 60FPS, even though you say like com_maxfps 120? Simple fix http://www.ryanmh.com/files/reforce.zip is a fix for a Windows Bug that locks your frame rate at 60 fps when you can get higher. All you do is unzip that run it, click auto populate, hit Apply and reboot and boom FPS allover the place

Um well if you have one stick of ram then it will always run in single mode. Being that its Dual Channel Modules, you need two stick, because its suppost to increase your system bus using both sticks. It breaks up the data and sends like half to the first stick and half to the second stick giving a performace boost

Hey Orion I got a question for ya.

System specs 1st: Athlon XP 3000+ on an nForce 2 board. 512M PC3200 RAM, GeforceFX 5600 w/ 256M RAM. (OK now who wants to touch me?

)

Here's my deal: I'm trying to get my RAM to run in Dual mode, but can't find any bios option to do so. The system keeps on saying it's running in single mode. Any luck? I heard I may have to buy another stick of RAM for dual mode to work.

If he did it like that yeah there will be lag, because one pc that the cable modem is plugged into is acting like a server and has to do a lot of extra stuff

hmmmm im not sure what koyi did. I think he just plugged 1 pc into another somehow and they were connected to the cable. ill ask him.

um.. and i assume you have either a router or a hub that both pc's plug in to, then that device, router or hub plug in to your cable modem?

ok how do you network 2 pcs together and have them not LAG!!!! I have a cable connection but 1 pc is really laggy. Koyi and i both want to play but we cant!

Orion, figured out what was up with w2k and my machine turns out needed a bios flash update and now it is loading it up so JK:JA here I come. Woohoo thanks again for your help.

Jacen, either his FDD is broken/destroyed/imploded or the power cable/FDD cable isn't connecting to the MB/FDD very well.

Or it could be something weird in windows, wich isn't very likely...

Umm when it pops up sayin that this Device isnot Digitally Signed or whatever. Are there two buttons to choose from? one like being Continue Anyway. or something to that effect?

the problem is there is no option to ignore it just auto-stops the whole installing procedure, maybe that's a setting somewhere very deep in my pc but i really don't know how to fix it

hmm so let me try to clear up somethings...
Do you have DirectX9 installed? If no, well obvisously install it.
If you have it installed already do this. Go to Start->Run, then at the box type DXDIAG. then at the Bottom of the List of information on the System Tag What does it say next to DirectX Version? For example for me on my laptop it says: DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0b. We will start with that. Oh and to the Microsoft Logo thing, you can just hit ignore. Basiclly that means that the Driver that is being install has been tested and certiffied by Microsoft, meaning that it works on Windows and Microsoft says its good to be used

I've got a few games who won't run without direct X 9. at least that's what it says when i try to open it on the standard way. there comes a pop-up with install direct X things. When i start the install at a certain moment my windows will stop it and will say something about a windows logo test or something (i haven't got a suporting videocard)
i got pisst of and try it another way (go into the file on harddisk and find sp button) so i push that and yipie it works. but now every time i start all my key and screen configs are screwed...WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!???

soon I will buy a new video card...uhm wich one shall i buy, can use some advice for that 2
