okies... i was d/ling cygwin when i got bored and canceled it... i thought i should get some advice on what files to d/l... well, i need advice on what would be good to d/l, since the description of the files does not help me as much :S for example, consider the games and crap out... PLZ READ THIS TOO... In the setup screen, it says either d/l Unix file types or DOS file types... What should i d/l? In the cygwin help web site it says d/l Unix file types unless you have a good reason to d/l DOS file types... anyhelp here would be hot... OH WELL: i d/led some files... then i installed...but it won't run... y??? _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. first of all, theres plenty of tutorials out there. if u use a NTFS file system. use UNIX type files, imho that should work. secondly: u can specify that in the setup, u should be using UNIX type files for XF86 to work properly. the d/l is huge. as far as I remember, its something about 80MB for standard console utils, only. the whole thing with XF86 support is even more, let alone the gcc for that. buy a linux, that should spare u the b/w and time. _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" |
