The Sith are just dark side Jedi, but they are a particluar cult of darke Jedi. They have certain alues and codes that just any dark Jedi does not possess. Their pure hatred of the Jedi is one of them. Once again THe MIghty unofficial JA Historian has come to the rescue. as some of you guys have said sith is a religion. But sith started out on a planet as an evil race. A few DArk jedi (jedi gone bad) went to their planet and trained them up a bit. THe Sith had extra Sith magic (extra stuff) too. there are now Sith - A religion with people trained in sith magic and force useage, bound by codes etc. And Dark Jedi - No rules (unless in thier own little organization) no religion etc, normal force powers. Basically the just really mean Jedi Hope that helps  _______________ I was a child when I joined the JA...scary. |

Eventually they declared war on eachother, and destroyed eachother... Eventually, one Sith survived, who called Darth Bane, and he knew that he had to work in the shadows so he made the rule: A master and an apprentice, no more, no less... And for a millenium it was so Then after the destruction of the Emperor and of Darth Vader, they're where lots of clans of "Sith" and of Dark Force Users They only wanted to destroy the Jedi, though they weren't a match for them. Well Buzz kinda explained it already but k.. First of all Force Powers aren't evil themselves, but it's what you use them for and in what situations. Luke used Force Grip in RotJbut still he is a Jedi. Dark Jedi are most of the time Jedi would have chosen the easy and simple path to the Dark Side, instead of completing there training as a Jedi. Dark Jedi are Force Users who use Dark Side Force Powers as Lightning and Grip, and they use them whenever they like, and for whatever they like. Sith on the other hand are Force Users who also use the Dark Side, but have a real religion. They use the Force in almost the opposite way the Jedi do. They use it to control, destroy while Jedi use it to defend and protect the weak. So the difference between a Dark Jedi and a Sith is that Dark Jedi are just people who use the Dark Side and what everyone can become. Sith are always with 2 and follow a code on how to use the Force and fight with a saber. You can't choose to be a Sith, only the Sith Master can search for another apprentice and then alone can you become a Sith aswell. You have to learn as a Jedi for it aswell tho.. |

Buzz pretty much has the idea. Thousands of years before the battle of yavin, armies of sith warriors hyperspaced into the outer rim from an unkown sector and began wreaking massive pwnge, this was known as the great hyperspace war. The simple difference is that along with using the darkside the Sith have a code along with it on how to use the Force and their ideals and such similar to the Jedi. A dark Jedi is a Jedi that has allowed themself to be corrupted and now they follow the dark path. They won't hesitate to kill someone and other nasty things like that. A good comparison would be squares and rectangles. All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares.
