I'm not sure, but I think it might have to something to do with a corrupt file. Delete all the files in your base folder which aren't necessary to play (aka the JA map, asset, the subfolders). Make sure to back them up first, though. Then try connecting. Worth a shot.

When I try to start a server, I get the screen of Jedi Outcast (you know, the blue lightsaber)
with something like Starting up on it..
Then it just stops doing anything
The game just freezes

How does it lock up? When, does it say anything?

Ok, So i've figured out how to load in the mod...
(Setup--> Mods, right?)
Anyway, when I do so, the game reboots, but after that, when I try to start a server
the game locks up
Can anyone tell me exactly what to do to make it work? (I've unzipped it to Gamedata)

Argh, so sorry, my mistake. I meant to write gamedata, not base! >_<

So, if you have done that...
Does it work for you?
Because it still doesn't for me:confused:

You need to unzip it JUST to gamedata, not any subfolder, so don't make an academy folder. I'm not sure if you've done so, but it might be that.

Yes, I'm having this problem too...
Even with the mod unzipped into the Gamedata folder, I still can't use things like /amsit
I have put it in the academy map, like the readme told me to do...
But still it doesn't work...
And it says to edit the .exe with these arguments:
jk2mp.exe +set fs_game academy +exec server.cfg +exec academy.cfg
(if I read right:confused:) but that doesn't work either...
Could someone please explain that to me?
I'm begging on my knees:)

It's installed correctly? As in, you installed it to the gamedata folder and then loaded the mod in-game?
