Well i've been experiencing a few problems with jk:ja. It was working fine for a while until recently (around a week ago). First a few of the textures in my SP wouldn't load, which made it look sorta weird. Now my MP wont work properly either. I load up the game, join a server, and just when its up to the part where its loading and all the names of the people in the server is coming up.......bam, it freezes, and ja isn't responding. At first i thought that was because the servers are experiencing a few problems, but then i tried loading up my own server, and same thing happened. Now i can't play my MP at all, neither online, nor on my own server. I've also even tried reinstalling the game twice, but to no effect. I has similar problems with JO...and it ended in my graphics card melting.. Check the graphics stuff THOROUGHLY - and I mean the HW side (I'm no expert, BTW). Get a program like Serious Samurize and set a couple of temperature checks and other diagnostic bits. Missing textures is usually a graphics problem, I think (duh! LOL). So, are all other games running OK? Sure? In hindsight, I noticed a gradual deterioration in the capabilities of my GFX card for a week or so before the boom, so you may have been having similar problems? If not, it sounds more like software to me, but I have nooo idea...ask Orion?How about the console? If it ever locks up, switch out and check the console in the background....what's it say? :/ No other suggestions, really...other than ask the daddies around here, and try BTW This was with a Geforce 2...now I say Radeon all the way baby!!! _______________ Brother to HW and Kyp Durron, padawan of the almiiiighty NFF. When you reinstall the game make sure you remove program directory. Does anything else mess up on your computer? _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |
