I have 512 mb of ram ;)

It isn't the amount, it's the quality. Faulty RAM is running rampant, it's possible that you may need to replace it. That's what I meant.

You could install windows XP or windows 98 SE.
Otherwise just use the Force....

it's pretty frustrateing...

although for a strange reason, i can play quite long on the JA server :) on publics, i have some seconds before it blows.

sometimes, it's even in the start menu! everything hangs, music repeats and you cant really move your mouse... very strange.

i would wonder if it was my RAM, i upgraded about 3/4 year ago, and everything was fine till now...

i will try defragmenting and reinstalling... maybe even formatting hardisk, that always helps :D
the bad thing about defragemnting for me is, that it takes a DAY! minimum 6 hours. dont ask me why  WIN98 i guess.

well, but my brother maybe will get a new comp soon (and it will be in my room, cuz he has no monitor yet :D). so maybe the solution will be a new comp? lol

in the meantime i'll play CS... boy that sucks ;)

I tried reformatting my HD too but that didn't do it. Then again since it's RAM that's pretty godamn obvious... but TODAY I AM GETTING IT FIXED!!!!111

For those of you who hang around in the KS Server, you can understand what a pain it is for me as you see me reconnect every half hour :P

Worry not though... soon I'll be able to rack up -consecutive- kills instead of having my max score be 25 :P

Oh dear lord, I'm the expert. We're doomed. :P

That's what worked for me. After weeks of trying everything else I might add.

Mine did work fine for the first 5-6 days I had the game though...could be the same problem..I dunno...

or, reformat ur hdd. If your os is getting corrupted or something, reformat. The general rule of thumb, reformat every 6 months. So, maybe it is time.

I got an error that said something like ***STOP a wait something something about DCP or something, bla bla... this was after having frozen quite a few times. Anyway, it then said 'Beginning dump of physical memory.' I'm pretty sure it's a RAM problem, though MINDofSIN suggests simply reinstalling, updating to 1.03, playing a bit, then updating to 1.04.

I tried that, and it worked for a little while then deteriorated again. So very soon I intend to return to the computer shop to get my RAM exchanged - I'm pretty sure that's the problem.
