not sure if this has been posted before, but all of a sudden today i can hardly join any jk2 (public) servers because of an 'invalid game folder error'. the only thing i can think of that would have caused it is that i just downloaded a new skin... but other than that nothing. thx for any help in advance

in JK:JA, you got the error when you tried to connect to one of them illegal pre-beta JKJA servers (same thing if you connected to a normal server with the beta version yourself). For JK2, I've never heard of it. so I have no idea, sorry :/

oh, let me think about that one
I've heard this problem before
And I've also read the solution
Let me think...

Wasn't it something about a folder being misplaced?
Did you change a folders place on your HD?
Maybe that's it

If it is the skin, try deleting it and doing it again.

Or!!!
Just thought about it:D
If the .SKIN file is wrong, pointing to a folder that isn't there.
(So let's assume the skin is Kyle Katarns.
then it'll say:
Head [address of the map witht he head skin file jpg :))
But if the address to the map is wrong, I think you'll get that error...
I'm not sure though
Try unzipping the PK3 (open with Winzip)
to a folder on you harddrive
and then open the .SKIN file (the default one) and follow every address in that file
If one of them doesn't check out, repair it :)
(e.g.: by putting in the correct address)

Hope I've helped you out

Good luck
