Ok, now that I have your attention, I'd like to clarify something with you that came to my attention last night. So, I was watching The Empire Strikes Back in my room last night when something odd happened. The part when Luke is half-way dead in the snow and he sees Old Ben's ghost. Obi-Wan told Luke to go to Degobah, and find Yoda...."the Jedi Master who instructed me." Now I didn't think much of it at the time (maybe I was hearing things) so I continued on with the movie. Then it happened again! While Luke was on Degobah and in Yoda's home, Obi-Wan's ghost exclaimed to Yoda..."was I any different when you taught me?" Now I'm confused. In Episode I, was the master of Obi-Wan not Qui-gon Jin? Empire states that Yoda was always Obi-Wan's master. What the heck is going on??? Have a spotted the blooper that could start the next apocolypse?!?  _______________ If birth was then, life is now and death will be, then why do I put up with so much sh!t? In all fairness, perhaps SW Government is a reflection of the US. In that theory I suppose Darth Sideous would represent greed. The SW Republic is even more corrupt than the US if anything. That is why it is in such disarray right now. In a way the US is a republic because nobody listens to what the people want, they just talk among eachother to find out what's the best thing for everyone (or the cheapest) and the best way to make lots of money off of it. The SW Republic is nowhere near as corrupt as the US government, but is corrupt enough to say that all democracy has failed. Anakin Skywalker was one of many casualties of that darkness. Obi-Wan incorrectly believed that he could train Anakin as skillfully as the revered Yoda. He would later admit that he was wrong. Ok, just so you know, the REPUBLIC IS A DEMOCRACY. For two reasons. In Ep. 2, while Padme and Anakin were on Naboo, the Queen says, and I quote, "We must keep our faith in the Republic. The day we stop beleiving in DEMOCRACY is the day we lose it." Also, the whole aspect of a Senate revolves around a DEMOCRACY. You can't have one without it. Ok the first thing that Bail said was true they all get trained by Yoda but Anakin didnt because he was to old thats what Yoda says in Phantom Menace. Almost right you see, at that time, you could only take one Padawan And Qui-Gon had Xanatos But Xanatos' father had a war going on, and he fled to his fathers aid, thus forsaking the Jedi Order. After that, it is rumored that Obi-Wan was the young boy of 10 (or maybe 13, don't remember the age well...) that hunted down Xanatos. Obi-Wan was meant to be a Jedi. He was trained by Yoda from when he was a baby until he was 13, at age 13, if a master has not selected you to be their padawan, you cannot be a Jedi. Obi-Wan was not selected and was sent to the Agricultural Corps. Qui-gon met him and was impressed by the boys bravery and willingness to help others. Yes, all the Jedi receive that kind of training from him... I believe  Kyoshiro Mibu: he IS being arrogant, because he says in Ep5 (I believe): I though I could instruct him just as wel as Master Yoda Isn't that arrogant? Yoda teaches students in the youngling phase, before they take on masters. Actually, in The Approaching Storm, Anakin recalls being taught by Yoda and makes fun of the idea he could use a lightsaber. Yes, Leia is the "other" that Yoda mentions. Second the Republic is not a democracy, it IS a Republic. In the Senate meetings, those are all representatives from the various planets and cultures in the galaxy. And by the way Bail, Obi-Wan wasn't being arrogant by not letting Anakin be trained by Yoda first. He promised Qui-gon that he would train Anakin, so Anakin became Obi-Wan's padawan, completely skipping the student rank. It can happen with any Jedi student. Another thing I failed to mention in my very first post. In The Empire Strikes Back, right after Luke flies away from Degobah, Obi-Wan says to Yoda that Luke is their last hope, but Yoda replies "there is another." Curious...who is this other? Ok, well none if that is the point anyways. They never explain any half of it in the movies as deep as us nerds think into it, so you must understand how confusing it is for the rest of the world...not to mention all the little 5 yr old Jedi who just started training. If something like this was ever let out into the world it could mean the end of the Republic. The Jedi Temple isn't just an Academy. It is home to ALL Jedi, the Jedi live there while they are not on missions. Look at attack of the clones great example there... You'll see yoda teaching a class there where a lot of students but it weren't 3000 or so, like in this Jedi Academy there where about 300 Jedi, I guess... _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! Deep, very deep. But it makes sense. However I somehow believe that in Obi-Wan's days there were a great many students. I would seriously doubt Yoda could train them all. Yes, that's a difficult part The first ten years of your training (searching connection with the force, parrying gun bolts Staying away from the Dark Side Controlling your anger and stuff like that are always taught by master Yoda And when that stage is complete the Jedi gets a promotion to Padawan, and he is chosen by a Knight or Master, and are trained in their abilities So first Yoda, who did the most important thing And then a Knight or Master And you'll notice Obi-Wan is arrogant because he thought he could instruct Anakin just as well as Master Yoda, and he never sent Anakin to learn the core powers from Yoda, that's why Anakin ultimately failed All the great Jedi in the Jedi history are all trained by Yoda So it isn't a blooper _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website!
