My hundred dollars worth of an opinion, macs Rule!!! Their os is built from Freebsd so it is *nix, plus you actually don't have to learn the command lines. Everything in it is simple and easy to use. Macs are great for everything. Free your mind from the shackles Bill Gates' Windows and his clone Intel put on you. Fight them, they have had ample time and money to create a stellar os but have failed miserably. I don't know why, frankly I don't care. What matters is don't judged before you have tried. Panther throws all other os's to the ground no questions asked. It just plain kicks. Don't judge apple on machines your school work or wherever have not updated in who knows how long because Apple built the G5 and it screams past anything the pc world puts up to it. Gannet news did a series of speed tests with the dual g5 2 ghz against a dual xeon 3.06 ghz system. Only a few things like some photoshop tasks was the pc ahead and only slightly otherwise the g5 beat it. Just try a new apple it will mesmarize you beyond belief. why are people so adamant about macs sucking? i use both day to day at work and both have their pluses. the macs are so much sexier though...just a much nicer interface. hey DJ, i heard about desktop folding in panther, does it rox0r or what? _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

Dude.........imacs are old. They aren't even close to how fast the new macs are. They only go up to 700MGHZ. So, if you have 1st edition imacs, then yes, they are slower than a Dell. But, that Dell, is probobly 3 years newer than the macs you have at your school. His Ibook, if it's the second generation model, is minimum of 500MGHZ and a maximum of 800. Again, even the iBooks are older models, so they might seem a little slow to the current PC's. But, the new G5s are literally twice as fast, same size, quieter, more user friendly, and more cool looking. ________________________________________ Again, he proves the PCers wrong and is one step closer to saving the world from the obomination! _______________ Top ten reasons to get a better computer...|My fan |
