well its finally gone gold, Knights of the Old republic is being released on 18th November in North America.

Hopefully it won't be too long before its out over here in Europe :D

From reading the XBox reviews its supposed to be best game released for the XBox this year. I've been waiting for this for a while to come out on the PC, I just hope its as good as the reviews say it is.

Sup,

(forget last poster's name)

But i disagree entirely, I just beat the game for the 6th time, and everytime I have found something new. I like that they dont throw gold/exp at you, I have talked to ppl who play final fantasy games, they go to a forest and sit there for days, just gaining exp/gold, then explain how easy the dungeons are....................

It is my goal to beat this game 12 times. (as follows)

You can be one of three classes

Scoundrel
Scout
Soldier

Mixed with
Male
Female

then throw in
Light Side
Dark Side.

Everytime you play it, your character will gain different skills, which will allow you to complete different side quests, giving the game a unique feel everytime you start over.

I got really far on the XBox version. I'd hafta say that after you get to a certain level, it's not all that exciting.

There isn'tthe ability to run around and "level up" or not too easily. No real onstant flow of enemies. Once you kill the enemies in an area, you return and there is only about 1 enemy there instead of the initial 6 or so. And some just don't come back. Like fighting the Mandalorians on Dantooine. Great XP, but you can't fight them again.

So, it's kinda like an RPG, but too linear in my mind. Impossible to do a slew of money-building or XP-building missions. And once your guys know the main skills they should know, then it gets dull. You get all excited to get the sabers, and Jedi, and new characters, and equipment. But after a while, not too exciting.

As for how it plays, it is nice and tactical. You control your party, move them around. When you get into a battle or spot an enemy, the game pauses for you to choose your series of actions (kinda like Final Fantasy in that way, choosing what you wish to do). After that, resume, and it will be pretty automated.

So, I liked it, but it DID get old. I should perhaps finish it sometime soon.

Jedi do not fight for peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading as slogans always are. Jedi fight for civilization, because only civilization creates peace.

Rei: its like Neverwinter Nights, its an RPG set in the star wars universe.

Heres a little info from the site:

Engage in this saga set in the Golden Age of the Republic - over 4,000 years before the first Star Wars film, when both Jedi and Sith number in the thousands. With the Galaxy reeling from a recent conflict with the Dark Lords, the ongoing battle between the Jedi and the Sith rages on. Your actions determine the outcome of this colossal galactic war - and your destiny as a Jedi.

Immersive, action-packed Star Wars role-playing experience with customizable and evolving playable characters.

Choose from nine customizable characters to build your party of three adventurers, including humans, droids, Twi'leks, Wookiees and more.

Journey spans seven different worlds including Tatooine, Sith world of Korriban, Jedi Academy on Dantooine and Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk.

Build your party and upgrade your equipment in your own starship, the Ebon Hawk.

Fast paced mini-games -- such as racing swoop bikes, or manning turret guns.
