Ok, here we go, well, I am trying to make a server for JKII, ok, I load up my mod, I set up the server, with it under Dedicated Internet. So, it starts up for, I start the gme back up and am able to join my server, then I gave two friends of mine, the IP, they cannot even see Server, so I ask cHoSeN oNe about it, he says to open some ports from your Firewall, and the only firewall I have right now is ZoneAlarm, so I'm not exaclty sure how to do that... I went into help and did the firewall ports things, but I think I did it wrong, can you walk me through it please?

It looks like you may be running behind NAT. If that's the case you'll need to foward the game port to your system in the router. Your clients will then conenct to your router's IP. Oh yeah. You don't really need a personal firewall if you're behind NAT. :)

Hmm Well, I looked in my FireWall Trusted zone, and only my Router IP (192.168.x.x) was in it, so I added my REAL IP, do you think this could be part of the problem?

Nope my server still doesn't show up :( :( I have the server as a dedicated Internet, I gave the people my IP address. But still doesn't show up for them :(, heres my settings for my ZoneAlarm FireWall. 'Internet Zone- High: Stealth Mode, your computer is hidden and protected from Hackers. Sharing is not allowed.'

'Trusted Zone Security- Medium: Sharing Mode: Computers can see your computer and share its recourses.'

Any ideas?

What GL said will work, but I think it would be easier to manually add the program or change it's entry. If you go to "Program Control" on the left, then select the "programs" tab towards the top, it'll show you all the programs that have tried to access the internet/local network. Just look for JK2 on the list and turn the "x" or "?" to a check mark. You should have no troubles then.

Hope that helps!!!

With Zonealarm, it will ask you whether you want to allow a program to be a server the first time the softwarre/server is run.
At that point you need to tick the box that says something like "dont ask this again" or "remember this" then click the YES button
Zonealarm will then automatically open any ports the server tries to use.
From the state of things with zonealarm at the moment, I would delete the JKMP.EXE entry from zonealarms list of programs, then lower the zonealarm security setting to MEDIUM.
Then start JK2 again and follow my initial instruction on how to allow servers.
Sometimes though, you cant see these zonealarm popup boxes because the game screen is covering them up. So if no boxes appear after you have started JK2, ALT-TAB out of JK2 and see if the ZA prompt boxes appear.

Good luck!
